This is a lovely little hotel in the middle of the village in a beautiful area. The staff are some of the friendliest I have ever met. The food is excellent with great choice and the rooms are very comfortable and well stocked. I couldn’t imagine a more dog friendly place either. Definitely one of the best I’ve ever visited and I will come here again and again.

What can I say about this AMAZING place? The best we have ever stayed at and loved every second. We were worried about staying for 6 nights with our 2 year old but our fears were laid to rest upon arrival with the wonderful welcome and being put in a family room. Chris and Louise were brilliant and so understanding that our daughter doesn't sit still much! An incredibly peaceful night sleep on all 6 nights and as for he breakfast...just wow! I will never have bavin as good as that again! I cant praise this place enough and cant wait to visit again in the future. Thankyou for making our stay so relaxing and enjoyable.

Bossington Hall is impressive from the moment you drive into the grounds. On arrival we received a warm welcome by the owner and staff. The interior of the building is luxurious. Our bedroom had views across the grounds and to the sea - the room amenities were excellent. From the house there are numerous footpaths to the sea or the hills. The breakfast was sumptuous with a wide choice. We enjoyed our stay immensely.

Lovely Place to stay

Reviewed By JunieP65

We had a lovely stay last week for 5 nights in Whortleberry Studio. The accommodation was very clean, comfortable and private. The breakfast was served in the tea rooms and given that the accommodation is for two; we also had a lovely private breakfast too before the tea rooms opened. The hosts Helen and Sean are friendly and helpful about the area and things to do and also about local places to eat. Given that information we visited and walked to some lovely destinations that we might otherwise have missed. We had a thoroughly nice stay and will visit again.

Ships Mews

High standard of kitchen equipment, good bed made for a very quiet stay.

Reviewed By Davidbignose

I found the property online and was impressed by the high standard of accommodation. The only small fault was that the frying pan had a loose handle. I was impressed that the kitchen had an oven glove and all the knives/utensils were in good order - in particular the knives were sharp. We cooked both evenings and manged to rustle up a feast with the food that we had brought. The Ship pub served a decent pint but as it was Covid times we decided to self cater to avoid any issues and most other restaurants appeared full or needed to be pre-booked. The property was wonderfully quiet, the shower pressure good and the whole place was very clean. FreeSat TV if you wanted it. All I would have preferred is a king bed as the room could have taken one but it was made clear that the bed offered was not that size. In particular the lighting worked and was not too stark or invasive. Thought had been put into the room design. Most importantly - we will return!
