Lovely for a short stay

The room was lovely and clean, the beds comfy, the bathroom was perfect and the little touches like the biscuits with the tea and coffee making facilities were the cherry on the cake. The breakfast was delicious - good choice and quality products, cooked, grilled or fried upon request! Only slight negative is the lack of easy parking - we found a quiet street a short stroll away from the hotel and left our car there without a problem.

Room perfect, noise not so
Reviewed By gemmaa253We stayed here for one night and the room was amazing, we paid extra for the suit with the roll top bath and it was certainly worth it. The bed was so comfy and huge aswell, the only downside which was quiet an issue was the noise outside. It started around 7am wether it was gas bottles of beer kegs we couldn't figure out but it's not what you expect in a quiet village been woken by this, after this we then struggled to get back to sleep due to other noises going on outside

The Melbourne View Hotel is a country hotel located half a mile from Donington Park race circuit, 3 miles from Nottingham East Midlands Airport and 5 miles from junction 23a/24 of the M1. We offer great value, high quality, comfortable, en suite accommodation with an informal friendly atmosphere. Breakfast is a traditional full English with cereals.
EXCELLENT - we stayed two nights whilst my partner was competing at Donnington Park on a motorbike.
Reviewed By F Jane SHotel room/bed was very comfy and we requested breakfast early which was not a problem. The owner Steve, could not have been more friendly and helpful. The Hotel is situated off a fast road with no footpaths (not nice for walking) and he kindly dropped us off in Melbourne for dinner and also dropped me and our bags off at the race track. This was my partner's second visit to this hotel and we would definitely return.

Will definitely return as we had a very relaxing time with delicious well prepared and cooked food. We could tell the chef, kitchen staff and waiting staff cared about what they were doing making this place one we will definitely return to!

Rachael and James now run this beautiful,refurbished 16th Century Inn. The restaurant serves a superb menu of fresh, seasonal food with an extensive range of beers and wines. The six en-suite letting rooms in the converted stable block together with a delicious full English breakfast make it an ideal place to stay. Being close to Donington Park race circuit, East Midlands airport, M1, M42 and the Calke Abbey estate.

Reviewed By Odyssey07563235079Definitely recommend for a family event I would definitely come back again because off the staff and food also it was a good atmosphere 100 percent recommended I had a steak wich was amazing the beer was very good. We will definitely be coming back
