Loved the place
Reviewed By Mitali2015I liked this new hotel in the biggest river island, Majuli. Where there was no good place to stay before. Rooms are of 3 categories. Supreme and delux room we stayed were quite huge and well maintained.We had breakfast,that was ok. But service wise,they need to improve,though not bad totally. Service boys are well behaved and helpful. Overall good experience.

Okegiga Homes, is one of the most favored Resort in the World’s biggest river Island Majuli. Established in November, 2017 by two aspiring Entrepreneurs, who seek to bring a change in the Tourism scenario to cater the need of the new generation travelers like Digital Nomads, Location Independent entrepreneurs, Artists, Painters, Social Entrepreneurs, Backpackers, Budget travelers, the students and others. The space The Resort is located in a very serene environment with its surroundings occupied by a lovely woods and tiny river Kherkuti suti. The early morning is always beautiful with the rising sun and chirpings of the birds from the woods. And at night, sitting on the ground or the balcony of your cottage just gaze the stars and lost yourself. Of course, do not forget to make your wish when you witness the shooting star. The space is unique as it is the one and only accommodation, in Majuli, with different types of accommodation facilities viz, Traditional Bamboo Cottage, Wooden Cottage, Concrete hall/dormitory, Swiss Tent Cottage and Camping Tents. It has the river Lohit on the front while on the side you can enjoy the lovely wood.

Reviewed By mousumi021One of the best experiences of resort environment I ever had at such a beautiful place of Majuli. Their hospitality feels like home. Their food feels the delicacy of home away from home. Delicious, multi-menued and rejuvenates the taste buds. The staff is full of care and affection towards the guests. You even get the pettiest of service like warm water and much more with ease and smile. I am in complete admiration after meeting the owner himself Deepmoina, a man of discipline, compassion, kindness and relentless service towards the people who would go for a stay at OKEGIGA HOMES. Also Riki (cook), Madhu (Manager), JP (caretaker) together they make you feel at home and I would say the most comfortable resort being a woman for me till now. I would say OKEGIGA HOMES - " A HOME AWAY FROM HOME". A must visit place.

Reviewed By anandvsankar1Absolutely loved my stay at Ayang Okum. Mr. Payeng was very hospitable, and the location was amazing. Located at the banks of the Lohit river, it is a place that will serve as a perfect vacation for 3-4 days. Make sure that you try the Apong (Home brewed rice beer) and ask Mr.Payeng for boating opportunities.

Reviewed By Maps722824Excellent hospitality. Very natural atmosphere... Bamboo hut is organic, clean. Food is very authentic and the entire Maheswar Land campus is full of greenery. There is a big pond and a janghal in the back side where you can retreat your mind under the fresh sky...

Comfortable Stay for Two days.
Reviewed By priyam_svsWe had a wonderful stay at River View Bamboo Cottage. Our two day visit covers BASHUDEV THAN (DHAKUAKHANA)& SATRAS at MAJULI. We stayed at LUHIT & NEARBY COTTAGE. FACILITIES ARE LIMITED considering Bamboo cottages. However , Bathrooms are concrete . We visited in December & geyser was not available at bathroom. Still , hot water was made available to us by the Staff as many times we wished. The entire staff were very good ,well behaved & helpful (especially Prem). Rooms are neat & clean . We enjoyed bonfire too. Foods are delicious & very ethnic. Vehicle was provided for visiting SATRAS. Tip: On first day of your visit its better to order them before your arrival here. Atleast for Chunga Chicken ( Smoke chicken) & Maas Pura (Fish barbeque). Enjoyed our stay , wish to visit again. Wish you too have a good stay here . Comment for any query.
