Antsokay Arboretum

The Antsokay arboretum is a botanic garden with a collection of over 900 plant species from the southwest of Madagascar, 90% are endemic to the region and 80% have medicinal properties. Among these many succulent species are recognized as endangered.Visit also include opportunity to see creatures you can see no where else in the world. Not just chameleons, boas, tenrecs or birds but also other endemics such as the mouse lemurs which are the main night visit attraction of the arboretum.

Mangily Scuba

Mangily Scuba was opened in 2012 as an official PADI dive club. We offer dive course Open water through Divemaster as well as snorkeling, whale-watching, Surfing and trips to the mangroves. We speak English, French and Malagasy. Come and visit the third longest barrier reef in the world!

I have just led a World Challenge group to Madagascar and this was our R&R location. Anne sorted our Discover Scuba, Whale watching, and snorkelling actives in a safe environment. Recommended. But even more so for the food in the adjacent restaurant. Excellent pizzas, amazing sandwiches. We ate almost every meal here, even while staying at the other end of the beach.

I turned up in Ifaty with just enough time for a couple of dives. I hadn't been diving for 3 years and wasn't quite ready for the tide on the first day but Jean Pierre managed the situation without making me feel too embarrassed! Second dive through the coral Gardens was fantastic!
