Jeep Safari

Reviewed By Neil M - Dunblane, United Kingdom

Despite being dubious about a jeep safari after a bumpy, dusty, contact lens destroying on in Bulgaria, this was definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Crete - largely down to the knowledge and humour of driver / guide Nikos! He was exceptional! The tour is in relative comfort of Landrover Defenders taking you high into the Mountains of Crete on some downright dodgy tracks you couldn't attempt yourself!
We saw the sides of Crete away from the tourist trails, saw mountain top vultures, visited the Cave Of Zeus, tried locally made raki, tried more, bought some of said raki, fed goats, tried locally produced mountain goat cheese, bought cheese, had an awesome barbeque lunch with locally produced wine...
All in all a "must do" trip - tell Nikos & Simon we said hi!

Maxairopoiia Palamianakis

Reviewed By Stella C - London, United Kingdom

I was taking a walk and stumbled upon this place- knives galore, all different styles for all uses. I picked out this really traditional looking one to take home as I found them to be really cool, and on it was engraved a Cretan poem. The wife of the owner translated it to me and they treated me to a shot of raki..very welcoming people, very nice experience. If ever in Heraklion again, definitely making a pit stop- even just to say hello.

Senses Club

Reviewed By NicoRinaldi - Puglia, Italy

I have been five months working in the area and I have to thank Senses for being there and making my staying in Crete more fun. If you are in the area working or touring and want a club where to hang out till late this is the place for you. The plus of course is the kindness of the staff like Marcus and the owner, Kosta.
Hope to come back soon for a visit!

I had a great time with my friends at Nisi, food and beverages were fantastic and well priced. Also a great alternative to the beach when it's windy.

Rather large space for kids to play around. However in a part of the place people were smoking inside and the smell of smoke was everywhere ! The toilets for kids had pictures of semi naked girls !!!!!
The coffee and quality of the food was nice
