Takumi no Sato

Reviewed By upandbeyond - Tokyo, Japan

We went in January as a day trip from skiing in Minakami. Not everything was open, and we had young children. But we enjoyed the strawberry greenhouse (Ichigo no Ie), making bracelets (Iyashi no Ie), and also painting bells (Suzu no Ie). On the way back we stopped by the farm near the middle where we pet the horses and bought food to feed their rabbits. The farmer was super nice and they also had a kids merry go round and swings. The kids thoroughly enjoyed it.

Tanigawadake Ropeway

Take the ropeway which is about 2400 meters in length from Doaiguchi station for about 15 minutes and get off at Tenjindaira Station. Spring is a treasure trove of flowers. Among the residual snow and fresh green, dogtooth are in full bloom. Summer is a refreshing summer resort. Temperature is lower by 12 ~ 13 ℃ than Tokyo, Hemerocallis are in full bloom. Autumn is a landmark of autumn leaves. The autumnal leaves of Tenjinpass start earliest in the Kanto area from late September, and autumn leaves fall down the broadleaf tree under the ropeway until early Novmber.Winter is the snow season. In the high season it is a leading snowfallarea in Japan where snow falls from 4 to 5 meters, snowy good powder snow derived from high altitude is a selling point.
