A beautiful cinema/theatre. Such a fantastic building to see your film, a real treat! It’s been beautifully restored to its former glory and I won’t go anywhere else as it makes a great evening/afternoon out not only to see the film you have chosen but to see the lovely surroundings. So worth a visit.

The Observatory Science Centre

2 adults with an 11 year old boy and an 8 year old daughter. The parking was fine and despite the inclement weather,my kids enjoyed the outdoor activities.Inside, there is a wealth of hands on science and nature that kids of all ages can try out.The cafe is limited due to space restrictions, but it's serviceable and the food is fine.I would also like to mention the staff, who all seemed to enjoy interacting with the public. The Planetarium is basically an inflateable dome, but the cosy setup was a lot of fun, especially the presenter.

Gardens & Grounds of Herstmonceux Castle

Herstmonceux is renowned for its magnificent moated castle, set in beautiful parkland and superb Elizabethan gardens. The Gardens and Grounds of Herstmonceux Castle embodies the history of medieval England and the romance of renaissance Europe. Your experience begins as you make your way through the grounds and the castle breaks into view. The castle gardens and grounds are home to a staggering variety of flora and fauna with wild orchids, formal rose gardens, Canada geese and resident peacock all adding to the charm of such an individual location. Various events take place throughout the year including theatre productions, operatic performances and most famously the Medieval Festival. Castle tours are provided but because the castle operates as an International Study Centre we advise visitors to call in advance to avoid disappointment.

Spent the day here with friends. A stunning building with fabulous gardens. Don’t miss out on seeing the huge fish in the moat and finding the Magic Garden. There is a full sized parachute in the trees too. Loved the Folly - looks just like a dolls house by the lake. Past the orchard there is a pyramid. Keep your eye out for the peacocks too. Really easy to book and for £7 per adult it was great value for money. Very friendly welcome at the gate. Just have your order number to hand. Definitely recommend.

Knockhatch Adventure Park

Children's farm. Owl Sanctuary. Adventure play park with outdoor and indoor play areas. Party rooms available.

Went today with 8 adults a teenager and a 4 year old. We all enjoyed our day especially the animal encounters and the owl display, Owen and Lee were knowledgable and keen to explain about the animals and owls in their care. All the staff were cheerful and pleasant. We saw Owen again in the Owl enclosure and he explained about their training and is obviously extremely passionate about the welfare of all the birds. The younger members of our party loved the petting zoo and all the play areas especially the dinosaurs. All in all a great value for money experience for all ages.
