Royal Charter and Joe Rodgers Memorial

A truly unique sculpture of the hero from the wreck of the clipper 'The Royal Charter'. Glad to see such an historic moment in Moelfre's history right prominent next to the RNLI centre.

Well preserved Neolithic burial chamber, only about 50m from the road, just round the corner from Din Lliwig. Well worth the effort to visit.

Din Lligwy

We spent 2 days exploring this beautiful and magical area and loved everything. The farming settlement at the time of the Roman occupation was incredibly well kept and one could easily imagine life there as it was then. Superb!

Coxswain Richard 'Dic' Evans

Reviewed By vincem8

It is the simplest and most humble of folks that often make the most impact in this world. Richard ‘Dic’ Evans is commemorated at the Moelfre Lifeboat Station Museum with this wonderful statue in a breathtaking part of the Anglesey Coastline. It’s quiet, peaceful and yet foreboding with stunning views across Benllech, Penmon and the Great Orme. Take your car to the RNLI car park which will cost just 50p an hour and you’re there, immersed in this breathtaking coastline. Walk down to the lifeboat station on the left hand side of the statue of Dic Evans or take a right, passing the old lifeboat station and you will find the ice cream parlour. If the mood takes you, just simply bring a picnic and sit around the area directly behind the statue to take in the wonderful scenery. The RNLI shop and museum is manned by such wonderful and friendly volunteers that you will want to return each time you come to Anglesey. I know I do and it really does feel wonderful here.
