We took our ten year old for her birthday and had a great time in the spy room, Steven was a great host and helped us along when we needed it. I wanted to do it again, an hour passes so quickly would definitely recommend for a family or as a couple or group

Me and my boyfriend went to York yesterday for Valentine’s Day and we decided we would book the Hero themed escape room for something different. We have both done escape rooms before but this one was different to any of the others we have done as it was a combination of physical strength, speed, sight and intelligence, based on each of the missing hero powers. Very enjoyable and our games master Al was great ???? We even got a key ring at the end with our team photo as well as a little card with our escape time on which was a nice touch

Went as a family of six (age range 23-80). Fantastic experience in the Dark Arts room involving everyone- excellent challenges with great electronics releasing the clues. Staff very friendly & welcoming. Would definitely recommend this experience & very much look forward to trying the other rooms in future.

NOT ABOUT THE PUZZLE BOXES. I LEFT THAT REVIEW ON GR8 ESCAPE BY MISTAKE, SO THIS IS THE ESCAPE ROOM REVIEW. I want to say first off, thank you to all the fantastic staff at gr8 escape. The puzzle boxes, and the escape rooms, were amazing. The most amazing part about the whole experience was the interaction with the staff. I've been to a lot of escape rooms, and although staff in others might dress up or do various immersive features, there will never be a group of staff that care more about their customers and take the time to get to know their customers, as well as providing a fantastic back story, so for that I thank you all. New York Room - This was the first room we did in Gr8 Escape and it was fantastic. It was wonderful to see unique puzzles that actually made me think as a pose to the same puzzles being regurgitated. The unique style that went into it, and the way it was designed, made it by far one of the most unique escape rooms I have done so far, however that is purely the design element. We did this after doing a puzzle box, and I think it actually made it more difficult. A good room, but my least favourite of the three (still good though) Ministry of Wizards - This was the second room we did and I must say I absolutely love Wizard/magic style escape rooms, and this was no exception! There is some absolutely fantastic ideas within this escape room, and you can see a lot has gone into the design of each of the rooms, which was amazing. This is my second favourite of the rooms. Lost Treasure of Atlantis - This is now, and I think will remain for a while, one of my favourite ever escape rooms. The puzzles are absolutely fantastic, but the thing that by far takes this for me is the design and actual aesthetics of the escape room. I'm not going to give anything away by saying it, however it is absolutely stunning and definitely the best escape room I've been to in York.
