Hinton Bike Park

Reviewed By kmA9814SU

This park has everything for all skill levels and features a diverse trail system that is surprisingly remote and difficult. Be sure to read the maps and Trailforks.com to find the best trails and access to downhill trails. The skills park is great for kids (locals often have birthday parties here). It's also just a nice place to hike and explore too. If you're a visitor with some extra time be sure to also visit the Brule bike park! If you're travelling to Edmonton also check out the Velosolutions pump tracks that Yellowhead County built along Highway 16 (Marlboro, Peers, Niton, Wildwood and Evansburg) For those looking for more core mountain biking visit the local bike shop (Vicious Cycle) and ask staff to direct you to the Hinton Nordic Centre for the Froehler Coaster trails. As always bring bear spray for chance encounters with bears and cougars. It doesn't happen often but it does happen.

Hinton Golf Club

Nicknamed by many golfers as "The Enchanted Forest", the Hinton Golf Club invites you to come and re-experience our club. The changes in recent years to a number of holes, as well as a new driving range & practice facility compliment the tree lined fairways and great mountain views golfers have enjoyed for decades. 2013 Marks the beginning of a new era at HGC. Many on course and service related improvements will continue to be made to enhance your overall experience. The new clubhouse (opened in 2011) provides members and guests with an amazing panoramic view to accompany their meal and time with friends. We look forward to your next visit as HGC is always worth the drive!

Enjoyed a wonderful golf game, a bit soggy but great considering the spring we had. The new owners of the bar and Grill are amazing, personable and the food was unreal. Highly recommend taking the time to come for a round or a meal. This picture is a view from the patio.
