6 Other Outdoor Activities in Troms That You Shouldn't Miss

December 27, 2021 Roseanne Arnett

From its snow-capped mountains to its mighty fjords, from grand valleys to tranquil lakes and lovely archipelagos, the county of Troms is bursting with natural wonders. To cap it off, it also plays host to the northern lights. Tromso, the capital, is the gateway to the region's rugged beauty, but with 65,000 people it's also a surprisingly rich city culturally, with many interesting museums and sites (including the world's northernmost botanical garden) and even a pulsing nightlife.

Happy Tails Norge

Reviewed By tomgranville29 - London, United Kingdom

We booked a dog sledding day with Grant at Happy Tails as we wanted a more personalised experience. This certainly paid off as we had a fantastic day with Grant and the huskies. As well as the dog sledding itself, we got to feed the puppies, were introduced to all the dogs, and helped with the harnesses and sled. Grant was clearly very passionate about what he does and was very good at communicating and personalising the experience - as he only offers individual tours, he was able to be flexible and accommodating which was great given that we didn't have brilliant weather during our stay. The dogs were great fun and clearly looked after very well. Grant provided warm suits and boots for the trip, and everything was very well organised. We would highly recommend anyone visiting Tromsø to book a tour with Happy Tails, and would definitely come again next time we are visiting.
