6 Nightlife in Anguilla That You Shouldn't Miss

August 11, 2021 Janean Rudisill

What makes Anguilla's beaches the best in the world? White, powdery sand that stretches for miles, pristine waters and the laid-back, welcoming attitude of the Anguillan people. Swim and sunbathe all day—and all year round—at romantic public beaches like the aptly-named Rendezvous Bay, then dance to calypso music at Anguilla's annual summer festival.

Dune Preserve

A music bar recently opened by Bankie Banx, Anguilla's reggae star, to preserve the beautiful Rendezvous Bay dune on which it is built.

One of the reasons we stopped over in Anguilla was to see Banksie Banx, as my son loves music. We were fortunate enough to choose a night when Banksie was singing - and he was awesome. Playing guitar and harmonica, and singing his Island songs - what a great way to pass an evening with a cold beer. My son even ended up on stage playing Banksie’s guitar. The staff were great hosts and we were made to feel very welcome. There is a $20 cover charge if Banksie is playing live - well worth it. Would strongly recommend a visit.

Gwen's Reggae Bar & Grill

Reviewed By WadeB_travel - St. John, Caribbean

Showed up around 11 AM on Sat, had our pick of beach chairs/umbrella (no charge, just need to eat and/or drink). In about an hour the place started filling up, but there was still plenty of room. Really fun Reggae Band started playing, the rum punch kept flowing, and we enjoyed a good burger and fries. Just a very cool place on one of the most spectacular beaches on the island. Highly recommend.
