Veras Lekeland

Vera's playground is located at Bryne in Rogaland. (At the shopping center M44) Only 20 minutes from Sandnes and 50 minutes from Egersund. Here can both children and adults have fun. One area is designed for the smallest children with slides and other toys. For the older kids, there are several different slides, they can play football, compete in the ninja course, jump on trampolines and much more. Here can the children play for hours.

Melsvannet

Melsvannet lake is located between Bryne and algard, along Rv506. Ideal swimming spot. The area is nicely landscaped, has a parking area with toilet, a fishing quay and a tour road around the lake well-suited for wheelchair users. From the summit of Melsnuten, north of the lake, you have an amazing panorama of Jaeren. In normal winters Melsvannet lake freezes over - great for ice skating, with cross-country skiing in the surrounding hills. The parking area by Melsvannet is a good starting point for walks to Lyngaland, a farm dating back to the age of migrations, or you can wander over to Saelandskogen woods.

Uradalen og Bjodnalia

Uradalen is a conservation area where you can see the remainder of the oak forest that covered most of Jaeren about 2000 years ago. This valley also contains a lush deciduous forest of temperate trees, with a flourishing flora and fauna. This area is home to Saeland nature reserve, which you pass through on your way to Uradalen. Furthest in lies Bjodnalia, an abandoned upland farm that was in use until 1907. The area is ideal for family walks and outings. Parking at Saeland by Fv205 between Undheim and algard.

Fritz Roed Sculpture Park

A song about life. Sculptor Fritz Roed (1928-2002) planned the sculpture park as a song where one verse takes the next by the hand and leads you through themes such as freedom, caring, joy, peace, war, hope and the zest for life. The park consists of ten sculptures that are quite varied in terms of style and size. Here you'll find humour, solemnity, childlike playfulness and reflection. The sculptor shares with us his love of the simple as well as the dynamic things in life, and leaves us the viewers plenty of room for our own interpretations. The park was officially opened on October 1st 2004.
