The Lookout Mountain Parkway which runs from Gadsden, AL to Chattanooga, TN atop the crest of Lookout Mountain is one of the most underrated, underappreciated, and unknown roads in the South. If you ride a motorcycle, do not pass up the opportunity to ride it if you are in the area. Along the route it's easy to visit Cloudland Canyon State Park in GA and DeSoto State Park in AL. Each park has adequate camping and cabin accommodations you'll find affordable.
