Beautiful island! It was almost like stumbling upon paradise. A little hilly if you struggle to walk but the park offer umbrellas and walking canes to borrow. Great facilities, with volley ball court and places to play golf and soccer if you want to have an active time. There are some great restaurants and a cute cafe there too and transport to and from the island is great. It's super easy to navigate and the staff were very friendly. There is also a bunny petting zoo and goats on the island. The flowers are stunning and you could spend hours here without even realising. Definitely best to go mid to late April for the best sakura bloom.

Ainoshima Island

Around 100 cats around the island, mainly located at the pier. The cats are friendly and most of them you may touch and will follow you around. Please do not feed the cats, because the people living on the island area already feeding them and they are quite fat. Most restaurants were closed and only one cafe was opened on the 2nd floor, curry and burger was available and yummy. We walked round the island for historical sites and it took us 2.5hrs, we walked super slowly and were taking photos along the way, it was an easy hike.
