Reviewed By SanjayD2211Shantiniketan is a frequent weekend destination throughout the year. But Winter and Holi makes it more special. Though people go there bcoz of Rabindranath Tagore , but surprisingly you will find more people in Sonajhuri hat rather near Bishwa Bharati campus ? We choose The Cristallo resort for our stay and it's just a walking distance to Sonajhuri Haat. It's a beautiful resort and we enjoyed our stay very much. It's a lush green lawn , swimming pool and dining to take of your needs. But their Service will make it extra special . Very prompt whatever we have requested. Staff were were very courteous. Food quality was just too good. We thought to have lunch in local one day but we just could not miss the taste of Cristallo. Rooms are spacious and decently decorated. A table in the room can be helpful to keep things , which management can think about it. Wifi is avl but bandwith need to be increased for better connectivity in rooms like C2 , B2 , A2 . Last for not the least - Shantanu and Team , Thank you for the lovely surprise for my son first vacation. We shall see you soon again.

Reviewed By SangitaBanerjeeWe visited this place in jan 20. Thea beauty of the place touched our heart. Surrounded with so much greenery . Visited there with 3 families. We booked 3 rooms but when reached there found 2 rooms are available & in 1 room some guests are already there. Whereas we booked prior with advance. This is a very bad experience we had. Other than that the behaviour of the care takers & all the facilities were really good. I want to give this property 4 star but giving 2 star only for this non professionalism.

Terrible choice to make when you're looking for the perfect kind of getaway amidst nature
Reviewed By deymou2cI took my family on a two days' trip at Shakuntala Village resort considering the reviews online about the place. Here are the pros and cons of this place. Pros: Always smiling employee who says no to nothing. Wonderful live performance every evening. Cozy bed with warm rooms especially amidst the cold December. The ghee provided specifically from their restaurant was tantalizing to the extent that I bought 1kg on my return day. Food was delicious and appetizing. They send the guest details to the local Toto driver so that they can be received at the railway station and brought to the hotel at an expense of 150 rupees. Cons: No internet service stating the fact that their wifi router has one issues at the new building. No telephone connection to call out for room service, so every time we had to go out and instruct the employee even if it's just a bottle of drinking water. Super deluxe room for 4 person had only two beds placed side by side, leaking flush, no side tables or chairs. No housekeeping for the entire stay. Terrible food service with small restaurant and immense chaos at the hands of untrained professional. Not at all pocket friendly considering the standard of service provided. Provided tea in paper cups at 15 rupees which in Kolkata come at 5 rupees. Disgustingly late restaurant service for which I had to wait for 20mins for the fish to arrive after I was done eating all over items. No special service for the guests and hence they treat outsiders equally letting them all queue up in the restaurant for lunch and harassing the guests.

A very special homely stay in santiniketan with spacious rooms and good delicious food
Reviewed By arindambasu2015Just came back from a wonderful trip to Santiniketan with a very comfortable and homely stay at Sai Neer Homestay . We stayed there with our family of four from 14th October to 17th October. On arrival , in fact even before arrival we were touched by the warm welcome Tanmoy da and his family extended to us as the hosts for our stay. On reaching this new home of ours during Durga Puja 2021 we were allocated large spacious rooms in the first floor of the building each with its own drawing room with all modern facilities and a large balcony opening out to the beautiful road that leads to the Kopai river view point. The homestay or the home we shared was itself surrounded by lots of trees, a well maintained garden in the front and an organic vegetable mini garden in the backyard. Each and every room and the entire house was so well maintained and clean that it itself gave a very comfortable and safe feeling to our stay. Sonajhuri forest, Sonajhuri Haat and Kopai river view point was very nearby within a few minutes walk. As if this was not enough we were treated with delicious food from morning till evening by homemade food prepared by Tanmoy da and his family and served with a lot of care and warmth. This experience of staying in such a spacious comfortable and clean homestay with good delicious home made food prepared and served with care made our stay in Santiniketan a memorable one. Like to come back to this wonderful place in Santiniketan, the true abode of peace and tranquility.
