Nice place on West Highland Way
Reviewed By TignorsgirlService here was fantastic! I stayed in the West Highland Lodge instead of the Hostel though, which was OK. Shower was hot/cold, hostel was a bit noisy, and kitchen was not clean. Too expensive ($90) for this. My view was amazing though and the lodge is conveniently located to downtown and the grocery store.

Just what we needed
Reviewed By girl lCouldn't have been made to feel more welcome. All the staff were incredibly helpful ensuring we got a table for dinner & they went out of their way to prepare us an early breakfast as we were heading off early. Food was good & hearty & our accommodation perfect. Oh & the local beer went down a treat too. Definitely recommend if you are walking the West Highland Way like we were or just visiting the Highlands. Thank you

Overlooking the scenic Highland village of Kinlochleven, West Highland Lodge offers peaceful hostel style accommodation. Free parking is possible on site, and free WiFi is accessible throughout. West Highland Lodge has rooms with bunk beds and shared bathrooms. Guests have access to a shared kitchen that has a microwave and a fridge. There are bars and a local supermarket 200 metres from West Highland Lodge, and the local climbing and ice wall is a similar distance away. The location is ideal for mountain biking and walking trails. Glencoe Skiing Centre is 7 miles away, whilst Fort William and Ben Nevis, the highest peak in the UK, are 20 miles from the property.

Our cozy glamping pods provide a comfortable way to enjoy the great outdoors by incorporating a few little luxuries such as electric sockets for your hairdryers/chargers, free wifi, TV microwave and fridge. Ideally located in the small village of Kinlochleven just 7 miles from Glencoe. They are insulated, heated by electric heaters/fans and have midge screens on windows. We have 3 sizes of pods available: mini lodge, micro lodge or mega lodge. With the mini lodge sleeping 2 in single beds and the micro and mega lodges sleeping up to 4 in 2 single and 1 double bed. Hot showers and toilets are available in our communal shower block and externally there are drying rooms, pot wash area and picnic area for all guests use. The site is also dog friendly but there is a charge of £10 per dog if staying in a glamping pod.

Reviewed By F1665TTjamesrI wasn't sure what to make of these. The photos make them look bigger than they are. They have access to a separate toilet area and shower block which is clean but small. There are only two toilet cubicles in the gents and three in the ladies'. They have a heater, microwave and fridge but there is very little space for bags or clothes. The location has the river on one side but a car park and tents on the other side. If you go ask for a pod facing the river. There is no glamour in this glamping.

The Tailrace Inn is centrally located in Kinlochleven village, the last stop of the West Highland Way before Fort William, 7 miles from Glencoe and is ideally located for anyone visiting the surrounding area. We have 6 en-suite rooms offering our bed and breakfast guests a hearty Scottish breakfast to start their day. We have a cosy bar on the ground floor that that serves bar lunches, evening meals and snacks all day with free Wi-Fi, Sky and BT Sports on multiple screens, pool table and jukebox. During the summer months we have live entertainment (please check our facebook page "Tailrace Inn Bar" for upcoming events). There is also a direct local bus route between Kinlochleven and Fort William giving visitors easy access to the local area.
Good stop when walking West Highland Way

After such a hard day and getting there at 10pm the barman so was nice and carried my case up the stairs for me. Room spotlessly clean. Breakfast was nice in the am as was the packed lunch (we missed the deadline to order this but they went ahead with it anyway).

Reviewed By 716JenniferB716Stayed last week for 1 night - 2 couples in 2 rooms. Rooms spotlessly clean, beds very comfortable. Great location. Breakfast was superb, even managed to purchase 6 freshly laid eggs! Jayne and Stephen are extremely knowledgeable about the local area, we had a lovely walk along the river in the morning after breakfast. Will definably be back to stay
