Our passion for the destination led to the construction of the uniquely and authentically styled Borneo Natural Sukau Bilit Resort on the lower Kinabatangan River. The resort is approximately 2.5 hours drive from Sandakan and has the most enviable location. Comprises 15 rooms with each room is hewn and hand-crafted by local tradesman using the Borneo Iron Wood.

Food was delicious and the team takes care of all gadgets such as binoculars, boots, ponchos, socks, etc, so no need to bring extra weight. The staff is very friendly and highlight was our tour guide Rian, who made sure we could see all kind of wildlife and vegetation, including orangutans, proboscis monkeys, hornbills and elephants!! Also big thanks to the Manager Fred who didn't hesitate a second to send us back to a river tour when he was advised that elephants were around, even when our tour package was over. I would definitely go back!!

Few criteria were chosen including: water, energy, waste, purchasing, the integration with the scenery and environmental education. Reviewed By rban123Very nice place , far from everything , perfect for relaxing. The Lodge organizes tours like hikes, river cruise, night walk and other activities. Rooms are well preserved, clean and very clean. I booked the 3 days 2 nights tours and I super loved it.
