Very cute hotel with thoughtful decorations
Reviewed By galinamfWe stayed in this hotel twice. The first night we booked in one of the rooms with Tibetan decorations on the second floor. We loved the room. The decoration was beautiful, with many cute details. Room is comfortable. After that, we traveled further to Labrang bt on the way back decided to spend one more night in this hotel (we loved exploring the area). Unfortunately, for our second stay, they didn't have rooms in Tibetan style and we stayed in a western-style room on the third floor. his room was much larger, but looked more generic. I definitely preferred the Tibetan style room. The only downside is that they don't have breakfast, but we got some snacks in nearby stores and had a great breakfast with local fresh yogurt.

Reviewed By Hely TWe arrived here in late afternoon. After checking in we found out, that the rooms are small and in very bad condition. Even more the barhroom. The whole bathroom becomes wet if you open the water tap, because the drainage pipe is outside tthe bathtub. Everything is almost fallen apart. No hotwater, is just luke warm, too cold to shower! The rooms are not clean Cleanliness and good maintainance are not in their vocabulary!! The bed hard as rock Very basic furniture. We took sleeping pills and will have breakfast The breakfast is also not good, but ok We will check out so fast as w can to leave this horrible place

Reviewed By PaDo13Un hôtel 3 étoiles classique et de bon confort situé près de la rivière mais avec l’inconvénient d’être un peu loin du centre-ville. L’établissement est sans charme mais les chambres sont grandes et claires. Bon buffet de petit déjeuner et restaurant sur place avec un grand choix de plats (et une carte avec des photos). Personnel souriant et aimable. Les responsables parlent anglais. A noter que j’ai oublié mon téléphone portable dans la chambre d’hôtel en quittant l’établissement le matin. Je me suis aperçue tardivement de mon oubli, nous sommes revenus à l’hôtel et je suis très reconnaissante vis à vis du personnel d’étage qui a retrouvé mon téléphone. Une bonne adresse.

Reviewed By MishukoviХороший отель, недорогой, чистый, просторные номера. Остановились здесь, потому что отели, указанные в ЛП, заломили цену. Рядом с автостанцией, от которой можно уехать в Сяхе и в монастырь Вутунь Сы. Только в апреле было очень и очень холодно, а электрических просты ней и прочих обогревателей в отеле не было, также как и отопления. Спасались горячей водой и одеялами.

Reviewed By EverythingBurnsFirst thing, I was glad to find this hotel as I showed up in Tongren with nothing booked and they happened to have a single room around the price I was willing to pay. Rooms/facilities: - I first saw the 4 people room, very basic; those rooms only have squat toilets outside. - The single room with a private bathroom was ok but not for the price (140RMB), somewhat dirty, then only a tiny towel provided for the bathroom, I'm not sure what's up with the insultation but this was the middle of the summer and I almost froze when I came out of the shower so I'm not sure how does the place fare in winter. - Curfew at 23:00. - No breakfast or meals. Location: Other side of the bridge, couldn't find any decent medium/upper range restaurants. Otherwise no big deal; plenty of hole-in-the-wall restaurants and corner shops. nearby. Service - The staff is not at the reception at night; I asked for them to be ready for my check out first our next morning; I woke up an hour later and I still had to wait for them. - The owner is a bit pushy about having conversations with the guests. In all, I think they are learning. The hostel has a lot of potential as most of the problems can be easily remedied and certainly a place to consider since Tongren is very short of good accomodation,

Bad service and not recommended
Reviewed By JxiaotangWe traveled in Gansu and Qinghai provinces during national holiday for two weeks. We were very lucky to find some good value and qualified service hotels, except one bad experience in Tongren holiday hotel. I booked a room in this hotel before arrival with RMB140, the woman stand at reception raised the price to RMB280 once she saw my husband is foreigner who has traveled to more than 50 countries. She declaimed this is rule here, foreigner entitles another price to stay in. I explained to her there are certain rated hotels for foreigners to stay in China, but no price difference. Hotel business all over China doesn't make price difference to foreigner and Chinese, as same as rest of world. She insists in it as management rule and refuse to let us talk to manager. We were very sorry about their poor service, but happy to end up find another perfect hotel next block. This is average hotel with poor service and dated managing mentality.
