Excellent food and good bar selection

Reviewed By MattfromDerby

I came with a group of friends for dinner a couple of Saturdays ago, so this review is for the restaurant only. Excellent food, good beer, a wide selection of interesting spirits, and a nice atmosphere. Couldn't fault it. I understand that it recently had a new chef or something like that. Well, he or she is doing an excellent job!

Exceptional B&B with outstanding hosts

My husband and I had a two night break at Moor View bed and breakfast as we wanted to to stay close to Ingleton for the peaks and waterfall trail. What an amazing place. Our stay has been 5* from start to finish. The surroundings are simply beautiful and we had such a warm welcome from Andrew and Linda on arrival. We sat in the conservatory (where breakfast is served) for a cup of tea overlooking their beautiful garden whilst Andrew made us feel at home. The room was immaculate, with tea/coffee facilities along with some flapjack. We had full English breakfast on both mornings which was delicious! What really makes this B&B though is the hosts. They are down to earth, attentive and some of the friendliest people we have met. One of the best stays we have had and we will most definitely be back.

1st anniversary

Reviewed By Sarah H

Me and my partner stayed here for 2 nights on our first anniversary 2 years ago. It was a beautiful place in such a quiet and secluded area. The hosts were lovely and welcoming including the 2 gorgeous dogs. The breakfast was brilliant with so much selection (including gluten free meals) our only regret is that we didn't book in to have our dinner there for either of the nights as we came back whilst one of the other guests were dining and the food looked and smelt amazing. When we return we will definitely have dinner booked in. Great place for a peaceful romantic break and a brilliant place to star gaze on a clear night!

Crooklands B&B

17th century former farmhouse on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park & close to the Forest of Bowland AONB and about an hour from most of the Lake District. Picturesque Clapham village is just over a mile away. We have one double en-suite and one double or twin en-suite, both good-sized rooms facing south with views over the garden to the valley beyond. It is quiet & peaceful, ideal for touring, walkers & cyclists - Ingleborough, one of the Yorkshire Three Peaks is easily accessable by paths within 10 minutes walk of here.

Our first visit and not our last

Set on a very quiet road in stunning scenery, our welcome was warm and our hosts were wonderful. This is a walkers (and a cavers) paradise not far from Gapping Gill with lots of footpath access onto the moors with a short walk into Clapham village. An expertly cooked breakfast set us up for the day and there is a comfortable guest lounge to rest tired feet in the evening. Thanks so much, we had a great break. We will return !

A family run, boutique B&B in the Yorkshire Dales.

Excellent B&B. I'd come back.

Reviewed By MattfromDerby

This was one of the best B&B experiences I have ever had! The bedroom was very comfortable, with a mini fridge (containing fresh milk) and a blackout blind (essential in the summer, but I only found it on night 2). The food was top quality and tea / coffee / snacks are available all day. The lounge is great, with a cosy-looking open fire (that we didn't use because it was May), aspirational magazines, a book about birds' nests, and other delights. I came with friends for a walking tour (the Three Peaks of Yorkshire walk isn't far away) but I would be confident bringing my wife here if we were to come to this area again. And she has very high standards! Overall - definitely recommended.
