Woodhall Spa Town War Memorial

Reviewed By 786carolb - Birmingham, United Kingdom

Sunday 18 October 20, My husband and I went to look at the Woodhall Spa Town War Memorial. a humble tribute to local people who lost their lives during the war. It can be easily missed as it has trees around it. Behind the memorial is the church yard of St Andrew’s Church. The Church was built in 1847 from the stone of Stixwold Abbey, however, it was bombed in the war and its remains were finally demolished in 1957. The church yard has some interesting old memorials and is well worth strolling round. My husband and I took some interest photographs of some of the monuments. Please do take the time to look at the War Memorial and Church Yard, when you are in the area.

The Mall - Woodhall Spa

Reviewed By curbolicious - Boston, United Kingdom

Visited on a Tuesday evening at around 18:30. We had messaged ahead online as my partner suffers from a severe peanut allergy, received a response almost immediately, Lorraine was incredibly helpful in providing us the information we needed prior to our visit. On arriving the extended garden space was really nice and large, but still well distanced creating a good feeling of safety, with covered and open seats. Seated quickly, ordered drinks and food from a temporary smaller menu. Starters (Halloumi and prawns) were both excellent, and our mains (both flat iron steaks, 1 medium 1 rare) were perfect. Overall a really pleasant and enjoyed experience and will be coming back.
