Our guide Haruhi was very nice and told us a lot about specific characterics from Osaka. We tried Okonomiyaki, Takoyaki and Kushikatsu which was all very tasty. She also showed us some secret passages in Osaka and gave us tips where we could spend time Osaka on our next days. The only thing that I was missing was to try out some other foods that are maybe not too known too. But in overall we had a lot of fun!

Our guide, Carlo, was so helpful and knowledgeable about the area. This guided tour was everything i could have hoped it would be. We got to see so many historical sights and the new exhibition hall and got to meet a renowned sensei in our style of karate which the tour picked themselves to give us the best trip possible. If you love karate, absolutely pick this tour!

Signed up for the 3:30 PM "middle" tour. Would have been cool to do the evening tour to see the city lit up at night, but we had dinner plans. The "danger" with the mid-afternoon tour is that if it were hot/humid/sunny, it'd be pretty miserable in the costume. That being said, we had overcast skies with comfortable temps, so we both costumed up in Donald and Daisy Duck like costumes. Obtained our driver's license thru AAA in the US. (Just be sure to bring it! - we left ours in our hotel safe and forgot and had to hustle back to the hotel) Quick video and model tutorial then hands on tutorial with the cart. We felt safe the entire time. No need to take pictures as both guides take videos and photos throughout and post them later. Even stopped at Dotonburi to get out of the cart and take pictures at the sign. Even though these tours are daily they still turn heads from on-lookers/pedestrians.

While we were sad to have to cancel our July trip to Japan due to the pandemic, we found the process of working with Japan Awaits to be easy and efficient. I can't speak to the full experience since we weren't able to go, but filling out the form and our communication with the company was no problem. And their prompt and courteous response to our request for a refund speaks to their professionalism. We will definitely come back to ask for their help in procuring tickets to the Studio Ghibli Museum when we do finally make it to Japan! Fingers crossed for next summer.
