Murphys Point Provincial Park

My girlfriend Sherrie and I toured the mica mine and were impressed by the tour guides information and presentation . It was a gorgeous early August day, later we went swimming on a small beach in the park. I highly recommend visiting this park, which is an easy drive from both Kingston and Ottawa .

Perth Museum

Leave the 21st century behind as you enter the world of the 1840s at the elegant Matheson House, home of the award-winning Perth Museum. This popular tourist attraction, located downtown at 11 Gore Street East, is a National Historic Site.

Have taken the tour through the museum twice now and have a learnt a lot about the Perth area and the past. Next summer I hope to take the walking tour of the town that they offer on Wednesday and Saturday.

Perth Brewery

Reviewed By HungryInTheHat - Lethbridge, Canada

Pretty straightforward place. A building full of brewing equipment and a small area in the front with tables and chairs to enjoy the fruits of their labour. An excellent selection of a wide range of beers, most of which is on tap, and they will let you taste. They offer a 4 beer taster, as well as pints, and sell their beer in 6, and 12’s, mix and match. Some stand outs were the Maple Ale, the Mocha Stout, and the Bonfire Black Lager. Also surprisingly good was an offering brewed in conjunction with a local restaurant that has oysters in the brew. Unique, but really nice. Definitely worth a visit.

Top Shelf Distillers

Top Shelf Distillers is an independent small-batch distillery located in beautiful Perth, Ontario. We craft Vodka, Gin, Cocktail Bitters & Moonshine (under the Reunion Moonshine brand name). At our facility we offer spirit sampling and the sale of all of our products in our storefront. Open 7 days a week.

We decided at the last minute to do a two hour drive and take a tour of this place. It was well worth the trip. If you haven't tried butter tart moonshine, you have to. It was all really good, including the maple bacon, but that was the one we liked best. The tour was very informative - we don't remember the guy's name but he was knowledgeable and obviously did his job with passion. It too was top shelf! We bought a few bottles to take home. Will have to come back once their Canadian whisky is ready in December.
