Quite Simply The Best!

Reviewed By anthonypI5704TM

We stayed in the Ashton suite which had a mezzanine floor & great views of the river. From the moment we arrived the entire team were so attentive & so welcoming. The suite was decadence at it's best. From the crushed velvet furniture to the huge free-standing bath, the experience was just superb. We had the surf & turf for dinner. The lobster & steak was delicious (as was the champers)! We simply cannot rate this whole experience highly enough. Rob and his entire team were superb. We have booked again for later this year. Quite Simply French?..... Quite Simply The Best! Many thanks, Ant & Lou xx

Room 3 on the first floor was very large, with an attractive view over Dalton Square, a first-class en-suite / shower room, and a double bed wide enough to sleep sideways (if so inclined !). The fish, chips and mushy peas in the evening were perfectly cooked and sensible portions. Above all, ALL the staff were cheerful as well as helpful (including with variations to the menu) !

One Night Stay

Not the first time we have stayed at The Sun. We have had both ‘cosy’ double bedroom and in the past the luxury double bedroom - none of the rooms can be faulted. Bar has a great selection with something for everybody. We didn’t have dinner but did have breakfast (Full English for me, Garden Breakfast for wife) - both were first rate. Staff friendly and courteous with nothing too much trouble. Will be back !

Lovely hotel

Reviewed By joanne w

Stayed here for 1 night room was really lovely not in the main hotel but in the outbuilding just of the courtyard really clean aswell no cooked breakfast but there where cereals and milk and juice so you could just help yourself the reason I've not give it 5 stars is because you could hear everything as we found out from the guests in the room next to us who decided to play music full blast and shout and scream at 3am in the morning it's completely put us of going back ?

Convenient location

Reviewed By Anne-Marie T

Located only a moments walk from the station and five minutes from the city centre, this is clean and comfortable accomodation. This is Room Only accomodation but there are plenty of places nearby for breakfast and each room has a kettle, microwave and small fridge. Although check in wasn't until 5pm we were able to leave our bag after arriving by train. Our double room was warm and well equipped with an ensuite with a shower. One downside was rail traffic during the night but ear plugs were provided!
