I visited Bamba Crown in March to explore the set of the new Star Wars movie. Before starting our walk I was greeted by a very pleasant member of staff in a mobile souvenir hut. The fridge magnets in particular caught my eye but I carried on our walk with the intention of purchasing upon our return. We didn't get back till after closing time, but a quick message to Christina was all it took to have the magnets I wanted in the post to England, and they even threw in a free gift as well. Refreshingly good service - thank you!

We had a great story of this place from the landlady at the Seaview Tavern. It was about how the islanders were moving to the Mainland and the statue of Mary fell from the boat lost at sea. However when they returned to the island she back in her place there as if nothing had happened!

Donegal Climbing, are eco-tourism providers of amazing hillwalking, rock climbing & abseiling / rappelling adventures in Donegal, Ireland. Your guide, Bren Whelan, is an award winning wildlife & landscape photographer, film maker and highly qualified Mountain Instructors Certificate (MIC) & International Mountain Leader (IML) award holder.
My wife and I did the Star Wars tour with Bren, and even if you have no interest in the film this tour is exceptional! Bren clearly knows the area intimately and brings you to areas that would be impossible to see without him, giving great insight into the history of Malin Head and the surrounding area. Highly recommended!

Ballagh studio is the most northerly Art Gallery in Ireland. It nestles on the mountainside overlooking Trawbreaga Bay, a nature reserve for wintering geese and sea birds. Our Fingerpost "PAINTINGS" will direct you to our studios, where there will be a warm welcome. Ros Harvey is a native of Malin, and returned in 1988 with her Printmaking partner Tim Stampton, who hails from Newfoundland, Canada. Together they have renovated and constructed a gallery/showroom, print workshop, their own ateliers and a framing shop. Everything they do is "hands-on" and their work is exclusive to Ballagh Studio. ROS is a Pastellist, a Member of the Royal Ulster Academy and The Pastel Society of Ireland. Her main interest is painting the breathtaking coast of the Inishowen peninsula. TIM, from his printmaking workshop, utilizing antique printing presses, has produced a number of Limited Edition Books, ranging from Folktales to Irish Mythology.
We were touched by the welcome we received from Ros and Tim and by the help they offered with choosing and framing gifts for our holiday hosts and their children. Ros's seascapes, the books and Tim's mythical, figurative pieces all have their own, authentic voice...MoreThank you so much for your review. We really value it. Ros and Tim

Weather was glorious on our visit here, and it made the views amazing. This is well worth the journey - the writings with white stones are amazing to see.
