Frequent reenactments - some free, some with a charge (Liberty). These are always fun and the reenactors are very knowledgeable. The fort is well maintained as well as the trail. Sometimes when the reenactors are there you can go inside the fort buildings and they'll tell you about the life of those who lived there and answer questions about the buildings, life and people of that time. The trail is level with a few areas with some roots, but nothing that should cause a problem. The trail goes near water and has a little exercise area and a wooden swing as well. My favorite time to walk the trail is spring, but it is enjoyable year round. We frequently take visiting family here and they all have a good time.

The covered bridge and the area around it are well maintained. There are also picnic tables nearby if you wanted to picnic here. Would recommend it to those who like covered bridges.
