Gros Morne is a truly unique experience. We marveled at the geological historical green point with a park guide educating us about the millions of years of strata under our feet , a unesco world heritage hidden gem! Trout pond tour is exceptional too Tablelands are amazing and unique . We did not have time to take in all the hikes and tours we will be back

Lobster Cove Head Lighthouse

Reviewed By Lets_Cruise_13 - Ottawa, Canada

On Friday August 16th, 2019, my wife and I continued from the Village of Rocky Harbour following Main Street up to Lobster Cove Head and the Bonne Bay Lighthouse, NFLD. On arrival, there is ample parking space in the visitor parking lot. From there, we proceeded to the red and white Lighthouse that once served to guide fishermen and to keep shipping traffic safe in the waters of Bonne Bay. Inside the lighthouse, you can examine renovated exhibits that highlighted the people and the heritage of the area. Some present audio recordings of folks’ songs, historical photos, and old lightkeepers logbooks. While in the kitchen, we met friendly Parks Canada Guides that were knitting and chatting along. Outside the lighthouse we noticed many walking trails paths that lead to photos spots. Many visitors were enjoying themselves picnicking while others were walking along the rocky shores. It is said that this Bonne Bay Lighthouse is known as the perfect spot to enjoy sunsets or even to spot whales. If you are visiting this western part of NFLD and the surrounding areas of Gros Morne National Park, Lobster Cove Head is a must to see as it provides for magnificent viewpoints for taking photos. We would recommend it to family and friends.

Filled with renditions of popular Newfoundland and Labrador songs and tunes, sprinkled with one-liners and wit and occasional display of culture, this group of five has become one of the most widely-attended acts in the whole province. Great pub food prior to the show. Show is lively, fun, entertaining, participatory and best authentic Newfoundland music. You will be humming tunes for days.
