Powell Hall is a beautiful place, especially when decorated for the holidays! SLSO's Mercy Holiday Celebration has become a December favorite for us; great for both couples and families. It covers so many holiday melodies! Be sure to arrive early to enjoy the surroundings before the show.

Powell Hall is a wonderfully ornate hall built to enhance your attendance at a performance of a Symphony. Attended during the daytime and was pleasantly surprised to have complementary coffee and donuts available. I need to arrive earlier the next visit there just to admire the building!

Springfield Symphony Orchestra

The Springfield Symphony Orchestra (SSO) is Southwest Missouri's largest regional, professional orchestra. Formed in 1934, the SSO has provided the Ozarks with more than 80 years of symphonic music. Each season, the SSO performs nine subscription concerts and two free family friendly Halloween and Holiday concerts. All concerts are performed at the Juanita K. Hammons Hall for the Performing Arts.
