Hutchinson is the largest city and county seat in Reno County, Kansas, United States, and located on the Arkansas River. It has been home to salt mines since 1887, thus its nickname of "Salt City", but locals call it "Hutch". As of the 2010 census, the city population was 42,080.

Your journey begins in Carey Park at the end of Redman Dr. behind Stremel ball diamonds. Our shuttle will take you to the launch and you will float from 4th street to Carey Park where your vehicle waits. Arkanoe provides everything you need for a safe and enjoyable kayak, canoe or tube experience - including paddles, life vests, boats and shuttle. The Arkanoe shuttle runs on the hour so you should arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled float. Each participant must sign a waiver and fill out the rental agreement prior to engaging in any activities provided by Arkanoe. All persons under 18 years of age will require signature of parent or guardian. The Arkansas River is a public waterway. We ask that you do your part to maintain its scenic beauty by packing out what you pack in - and then some.

Well who doesn't enjoy the zoo! Yes it's small but the animals are still worth the visit. Very interesting pathways to follow and young children would especially enjoy the train ride
