A private tour allows you to get off the beaten path and away from the crowds. Enjoy the Northern Lights in serenity on your own terms, with a Professional Northern Lights Guide taking you to the right spot! We pick you up from your door and whisk you away from the city lights to where we predict the best sightings, according to extensive monitoring of forecasts and real-time Space and Earth weather data. Our vehicles are comfortable, modified super jeeps making sure we can go where needed to find the Northern Lights. To keep you warm and cosy in the cold Icelandic night we serve home made real hot chocolate with Kleina (local delicacy) for dunking. We bring quality camera equipment and take photos of you under the Northern Lights. We share knowledge, stories and myths about the Northern Lights and give you an insight into Iceland living. The listed locations are a suggestions of where we might go but the final location depends on where the best sighting conditions are.

They picked us up from cross roads one block from our hotel in the evening. There were about 7 of us in the Super Jeep all bundled up ready to go. We made a short stop to go to the bathroom in a really cool local museum (it's on my list to visit next time!), then we were off headed towards our spot to search for the Northern Lights. We waited for about three hours and just when we thought we were going home with only seeing stars so bright my iPhone 11 could pick them up, the famous light show started to dance right before our eyes. The green and yellow lights were striped across the sky. We saw mostly green and yellow waves, with some blues as the hour progressed. They gave us a pastry, hot chocolate, and a local l'chiam! They took our picture and a group picture and emailed them to us. We highly recommend putting pocket warmers in your shoes and pockets before you step out of the jeep and wait in the freezing cold air. We highly recommend this group as it gave us all we wanted: friendly and informative guides, a warm treat, photos with their amazing camera, and the light show that brought us to see this beautiful country in the first place!

We traveled with Andres on this tour for two days. Such a beauty of nature starting with exhibition Lava centre in small town, we continue to several waterfalls and much more. Just to make it shorter, day later we visited glacier, glacial lagoon, diamond beach and else. Andres was very knowledgeable, he was willing to stop on some special spots so it was really private tour.

The 10th of july 2020, we went to visit Landmannalauger with Hilmar Finnson. We enjoyed a lot, it was amazing and Hilmar was a fantastic guide, explaining everything we wanted to know, answering all our questions and keeping silence when he knows silence is a good way to appreciate what you are sorrounded by. We noticed he knows very well Icelnad, not only the paths but the cultural, scientis and enviromental points as well. This is one of the excursion we are always going to remember. We visited places that made us feel part of the movie Lord of the Rings or Narnia. Places where we wouldn't have gone on our own.

5. Private Jeep Tour - Midnight Sun, Golden Circle and Secret Lagoon

Iceland Premium Tours

We will start our tour with a stop at Thingvellir National Park, where the world’s first parliament was assembled in 930 AD. Here you will also see the canyon created by the Eurasian and the North American tectonic plates spreading apart. The tour will continue to Haukadalur Valley, where the famous geyser Stokkur can be found. Be ready to feel the power of nature as you see Stokkur erupting just before your eyes every 10 minutes. The golden waterfall Gullfoss will be our next stop. There we will have a walk alongside the cascade and feel its drops on your face as the wind blows. You will be amazed by the beauty of this spectacular Icelandic waterfall. Before heading back to Reykjavik, you will have the chance to experience Iceland the way locals do, by bathing in one of Iceland’s oldest geothermal pools, the Secret Lagoon and relax while you enjoy the beautiful colors of the Icelandic Midnight Sun.

We booked 5 days private tour with Iceland Premium Tours, and we were hosted by none other than the CEO Orvar himself. He has been very accommodating towards our request, and provided his unparalleled understanding of Iceland itself. We have been hit by bad weather thru the week, he never stopped a moment to suggest alternate alternatives, without compromising of safety. When we were on the way to the airport, knowing that we did not managed to see the aurora, he took a last effort and drove us to a location for a last ditch effort. And we managed to catch a glimpse of it finally! Thank you Orvar!
