More than "just" a library we provide a community resource, catering for all ages. As well as welcoming locals we are delighted to have visitors coming in and using our facilities and joining in our activities. If we're busy you may have to wait a short while for assistance but you can be assured that we are always polite and friendly, treating everyone with respect! We have tourist information including bus and train timetables. We also have lots of resources on local activities and services. We have WiFi and computers and i pads. We have a great selection of books too - including old ones for sale very cheaply! We have a very up to date Junior Library and are very proud of its wide stock! If we don't have what you need, or can't answer a question, we'll do our best to help. We have a quiet garden where you can sit and enjoy the peace and the flowers. We have a toilet for customer use and can provide a cup of tea or coffee - or bring your own from a nearby cafe. Everybody welcome.

Much more than a traditional library we welcome all ages for a variety of events, activities and resources. As well as welcoming locals we are delighted to have visitors coming in and using our facilities and joining in our activities. We are also a Visitor Information point so can find out about local attractions, events and resources. We also have free Wi-Fi and computer access for all.

Much more than a place to borrow books. Charlotte and her helpers make this a community hub, running activities for all age groups. The Friends of Southwold Library organise activities to raise needed extra revenue. It will be even better when they finally move into their new home in the old Hospital.

Sudbury library is based in the Old Corn Exchange which gives lots of light and galleried study and reference areas with tables and power sockets. There are plenty of seats and a separate children's section.There is a room for hire which seats up to about 30 theatre style with an urn and mugs provided. There is a lavatory. Staff are very helpful.There is quiet but it's welcoming. A good place to browse and at the heart of the town. Tourist information section is staffed when possible and has a wealth of leaflets etc.

Come to the library for books, of course, but hundreds of other activities are on offer too.. cups of coffee, internet and computer use, story time of any age of child, lecture hall, fashion shows, and information of every local event going. just come and hide in between the shelves and loose yourself for a few minutes.
