Wonderful stay
Reviewed By Helen PI was fortunate to stay here on a hiking holiday walking the Alta via dei Parchi in the Appenines. The B&B is close to the walkway and the hosts were wonderful to me after a tiring day of walking by providing a beautiful home cooked meal. The apartment was very comfortable and well appointed. I thoroughly recommend this B&B as well as this area which is a lovely and friendly place to visit.

La Calla Room and Breakfast provides comfortable accommodation, completely renovated in June 2016 with welcoming and relaxing rooms. It has functional communal spaces and restored furniture. Breakfast is included and kitchens are available to guests. The building is situated in the heart of Piamaggio, a hamlet that is small and quiet, but with everything you need. There are two renowned restaurants within 100 metres: one with typical local dishes and the other with fish. Nearby there are a further two cafés, a bakery with all the local delicacies and a grocery shop. During the summer there are many village fêtes with local produce and entertainment! The accommodation can be found exactly halfway between two magnificent cities of history and art, Bologna and Florence, which need no introduction. At the same time the position is perfect for wandering in the wonderful Apennine woods and relaxing and getting away from the heat and chaos of the city. It is a strategic location for walks, bike rides or trips by motorbike, and we are on a route that is well-known by cycling and motorbike enthusiasts. The well-known Tuscan-Emilian Apennine town of Monghidoro is only three kilometres away, where it is possible to find products for every eventuality and visit the bountiful market on Thursdays.

Reviewed By Nikki CGreat visit, lovely clean and comfortable room. Wonderful service as we weren't booked in and they helped us out late at night with little notice. The proprietor spoke little English but her daughter helped translate over the phone. Yummy breakfast! We were really well looked after and are very grateful. Highly recommend.

The old stall and hayloft have been transformed into a cosy and charming little restaurant catering up to 50 guests. Five double bedrooms, an appartement for 4 – 6 people and a recreation room with a fireplace is completing our range. All rooms have their own bathroom, satelite TV, telephone, wifi and modem-fax connection. The rooms are fitted with wood and wrought iron details in a style to compliment the house. The appartement composes of a double and a twin bedroom, a fully furnished kitchen and a lounge in which is a comfortable settee which can be used as a double bed if needed. The bathroom contains next to the usual comfort a massaging shower and as a highlight an antique washbasin.

Abbiamo trovato questa struttura che ci sembrava l'ideale anche per la nostra bimba di 2 anni e mezzo. L'accoglienza é stata precisa e puntuale. La mezza pensione includeva una cena favolosa (prodotti a chilometro zero) cosi come la colazione. Pulizia eccellente sia delle aree comuni che della stanza. Camera e bagno spaziosi. Possibilità di acquistare prodotti tipici dell'agriturismo. Consigliatissimo, tanto verde dove i bambini possono giocare in sicurezza lontani dalla strada principale. Complimenti!

Non il B&B che ci si aspettava ..
Reviewed By unosumillepaolaAbbiamo alloggiato in questo B&B dal 10 al 12 agosto , eravamo 3 amiche in vacanza per vedere quel ridente paesino di montagna che e' Monghidoro. Piamaggio e' abbastanza vicino ma sono necessari i mezzi pubblici molto scarsi per raggiungere il centro paese, per questo e' stato molto gentile il Signore che ci e' venute a prendere le 2 sere di nostra permanenza. Purtroppo le stanze e l'ambiente esterno che abbiamo trovato non corrispondeva affatto a cio' che abbiamo letto e a quello che ci aveva prospettato lo scorso anno il fratello del proprietario che ha un noto Ristorante li' a Piamaggio dove si mangia molto bene. Il bellissimo giardino e' molto trasandato ed e' un vero peccato, l'arredamento delle camere lascia molto a desiderare e la pulizia pure. Ci siamo trovate poi la mattina della partenza a dover saldare il conto con una gentile Signora anziana che era in evidente difficolta' dato che il figlio non aveva lasciato detto nulla del nostro conto e, x giunta, non abbiamo avuto alcuna ricevuta del nostro pagamento. Mi dispiace scrivere una recensione cosi' negativa ma e' la verita' , mi auguro che queste mie osservazioni possano servire a migliorare la struttura che necessita di una manutenzione piu' attenta x poter offrire ai clienti un soggiorno adeguato e migliore.
