We love this cinema so much, we have just been two nights in a row!. We don’t live in the area but frequently visit. It has a lovely ambiance, isn’t expensive and is run by a lovely group of passionate volunteers. If you are in the area it’s an experience you shouldn’t miss. It’s the perfect blend of nostalgia and modern technology

Tyneham

Tyneham is a beautiful place to visit. The ruins of the last residents cottages and the renovated church and schoolhouse make this abandoned village a great place to visit. The atmosphere and history of this place is amazing. You can feel the atmosphere and can almost see the ghosts of the village their presence is so strong. The walk down to worbarrow bay takes you along the edge of the Goyle or through it depending on your preference. Wild deer and other animals can be seen on quiet days. Well worth a visit to walk around and take in the atmosphere of a village that sacrificed it's existence to help in the war effort and prepare the troops for the invasion of Europe.

Over the years I have enjoy introducing friends to the Lawrence of Arabia trail ... everyone is always fascinated, with so much to learn from the warm welcome from the National Trust guides. The recently opened bike shed is a welcome addition and the whole place is well worth visiting.

Excellent garden centre, great choice of plants, lovely cafe (although closed for sitting in at present) and really brilliant landscape gardens to enjoy, ongoing planting. Worth the journey to find. A real gem.
