Himachal Pradesh ([ɦɪmaːtʃəl prəd̪eːʃ] ( listen); literally "snow-laden province") is a state of India located in North India. The state's name was coined from the Sanskrit—Him means 'snow' and achal means 'land' or 'abode'—by acharya Diwakar Datt Sharma, one of the state's eminent Sanskrit scholars.

Not many people are aware but the Wah tea estate is one of the ten oldest tea estates in the country. Unlike some other tea gardens in Palampur this is quite well maintained gardens with well maintained road leading right up to the factory. The estate offers a guided tour of the estate as well as tour of the tea factory. Highly recommended
