Islands Caravan Park

Amazing place to stay, pretty much everyone has a sea view and the sites are large, we were lucky enough to be on the edge right on the sea side. It is just out of Streaky Bay but not too far, walk down to the beach and across to the island. We were also offered binoculars when we went out to see the sea lions. Place is spotless, inside amenities block are ensuites plus on their own toilets. Very friendly staff and will definately visit again.

Murphys Haystacks

Absolutely amazing, really enjoyed our time here, they are on private property, the area is well maintained, toilets and a picnic area. $2 a person or $5 a family, well worth it. They are large well weathered granite outcrops, and got their name because a passer by long ago mistook them for Haystacks. Really worth a visit!!

A very pleasant drive on well maintained dirt roads to a viewing platform with plenty of sea lions and seals basking on the sand and rocks. Worth the trip

Whistling Rocks and the Blowholes

Free parking but limited spaces. Variable pathways, so some areas not wheelchair friendly. Watch the waves crashing against the cliffs and spray coming up though the blowholes. Petrified forest is so alien; these rock formations were once thought to be fossiled trees, hence the name.

Great White Shark Replica

This is well worth taking a bit of time to read the history of the Great White Shark being caught. There were several other visitors viewing the shark and taking photos. Great display.
