Combe Gibbet

Parking is hit and miss although there is more parking on the Faccombe road not too far away. The views are stunning and there are enough paths to allow for some good walks. Catch it at the right time and you will see some lovely flying displays from the Buzzards and Red Kites and keep an eye out for the Kestrels I have often seen them hovering near the car park.

The Rose of Hungerford

All trips on The Rose of Hungerford, both Public and Private Charter, have been cancelled from now until the end of April. Plans from May onwards will be reviewed nearer the time. Passengers on cancelled trips will be given the chance to rebook at a later date or have a full refund. The Rose of Hungerford is lovely 55' canal boat offering public trips and private charters along a beautiful stretch of the Kennet and Avon Canal. The Rose can take 45 passengers, has a wheelchair lift and a fully licensed bar selling hot and cold drinks and snacks. She has large glass sliding windows which can be opened when the weather is good and central heating if it is a little chilly. Public trips are 1½ or 2½ hours long and and private charters can be the same or longer. Both trips include a couple of locks. Private charters can be daytime or evening, catered or uncatered and there are various configurations available to suit whatever the event might be.

Hungerford Arcade Antiques and Collectables

Voted Best Antiques Centre in the UK by the BBC Homes & Antiques Magazine. Named in the Top 50 Antiques Shop. Hungerford Arcade has everything for the pocket money collector to the big lottery winner. The beautiful building dates back hundreds of years and has a fantastic history. The Arcade is a joy to enter and you will be amazed when you see all the little shops, nooks and crannies. We have regular customers who visit us from around the world. Some land at Heathrow and get a taxi directly to the Arcade. The average person spends 2.5 hours here and love every second. There is also Rafters Cafe (which is actually in the rafters at the top of the building) where you can enjoy teas, coffees, breakfast, lunches, snacks and handmade cakes etc. You can relax and take a break. Everyone receives a very warm welcome when they enter the Arcade and you can browse until your heart's content in a wonderful relaxed atmosphere. No-one will bother you, but if you need help - just ask
