We visited these ruins on 10th of March in 2019. History of city is going back to 11th century BC. It has become an important Ortodox center during the early ages of Christianity. We could only see the ruins of church and theater. The church has gone through many constructional periods. 12 columns have separated the 3 naves. The big columns are lying on the floor. The church is decorated with two diffrent type of mosaics. Geometrical shapes and animal, bird figures. The swan and vines are admirable. The Roman theater has been built on top of the remains at 2nd century AD. The theater faces to the Mediterranian sea. The capacity were 4000 .

Palast von Vouni

This is the ramains of a Persian palace. Though there is very little other than the remains of walls to be seen, it is easy to imagine the spleendour that must have been here. Also the great engineering (e.g. the water cisterns). We were fortunate and had the site to ourselves. Great views ove the Trodos foothills and the sea.
