Jim has a tremendous wealth of information about everything wine-related. The enthusiasm he showed while teaching us about wine Carrie's over to the quality of his product. I love ted wine and his St. Croix (2013) was a splendid wine. As good as any I gave had from Napa which is really something to say about this area of the country. I highly recommend you to call for a tour and tasting. You will end up buying a bottle (or more) of his fine wine.

Newport Vineyards

Newport vineyard offered one of the most safe feeling dining experience I’ve had since restaurants have reopened in Rhode Island. My boyfriend and I celebrated an anniversary her on a sunny summer afternoon. We placed our reservation on open table prior to arriving. The reservation required a $45 hold on our CC. We arrived on time and were greeted by hand sanitizers and friendly staff. We were brought to our table quickly and the host went over their corona adjustments swiftly and clearly to us. We had a great experience sitting on the patio. They were super friendly to our pug pup and brought him water. The wine recommendations were perfect for a summer day and went wonderfully with our cheese board. The staff were always wearing a mask and would politely remind guests to put their mask on if they had forgotten when coming up to order. Tables were cleaned super fast after guest left. I would recommend the great white as a sweet wine.

This place is a gem and being a wine lover, I don’t know how I’ve never known about it. Anyway, was searching Facebook events and saw they had live music on a set September Sunday date- which was Elise and Mike - and phenomenal), I was so impressed with the layout of the grounds and the quaint architecture of the barn and tasting room. First of all- they had beer!!! On draught was an Octoberfest- that my husband thought was very good. It was offered by the glass or pitcher. Then for wines- we had glasses there, and bought home bottles- of both the Chardonnay- lightly oaky and smooth- quite good- but what was exceptional- was the merlot. Deep red color- juicy and smooth and the best local merlot wine I’ve tasted. I know they only grow min grapes themselves- but they are “making “ the wine- and they do that well! Cheers to this lovely place and hope to visit many more times. Keep the live music going- please!!

I took a group of local friends here recently who had never been before. We all had a great experience on a beautiful Saturday in July. We were celebrating a bachelorette on a small scale. They are appointment only now, but it was so easy to call and make an appointment for our group. Instructions were clear on arrival, and we spread out our picnic and enjoyed their great wine at an outdoor table of our choice. It was easy and relaxing, and all around it is a great atmosphere with beautiful views! I would highly recommend going to Greenvale to anyone local or out of town, just remember to call in advance. They are offering wine by the bottle, glass and wine flights, so you can still try out a wine!
