Totally Gorgeous Hotel

Reviewed By sbaron717831

We booked a night here after a long road trip, on our way towards home. We were given a complimentary upgrade due to the fact that we were celebrating our 5th wedding anniversary, which made our stay so special. I would definitely have paid full price for our spacious King Suite, which featured beautiful furniture, crisp sheets, comfortable bed, kitchenette, and an amazing bathroom with a hot tub. Front desk was courteous and professional, hotel was gorgeous. We will definitely be back!

Staff was friendly & efficient. We loved the cozy lobby with the Bolt coffee bar…..both the coffee & the muffins/scones we had were fantastic. And, oat milk…..yay!!!

PROBLEMS AND MANAGER DID NOT CARE

Reviewed By Storyteller88966

We stayed here for 4 nights, the first night we had no power for awhile, they do not clean your room until the 4th day, we asked if possible to have our room cleaned on the 3rd day, but it wasn't possible. Had a very bad leak on our sink, needed to keep towels there or everything on the sink would be very wet, were told they couldn't get parts, had to call to have trash picked up. Had to call if you wanted towels, could actually go on but it's over and will definitely be more careful when booking next hotel. Resort fee is $35.00 per day, we used nothing in the hotel but that is a high fee for this hotel. We questioned a $617.00 charge for one night, mainly because of all the troubles , there was no mention of a 617 charge when we booked the room, but unfortunately the Manager would not listen at all.

Newport Marriott

Yikes what happened??

Reviewed By GreatVacationers

The front desk looked very unhappy and disinterested. When asked about a window overlooking the water vs the top of a building, it was as if we were bothering her. Wanted our car and called down for the valet service. When we got down there, no one came over to help us, until we went over to ask for help. When my husband said we called down ahead of time, they said they never got it. They also seemed bored and disinterested. The bar was ok, but not enough options. Maybe add quesadillas, coconut shrimp, etc... We really love Newport, but will most likely find another hotel. May I add that we've been Marriott customers for over 40 years. Suggest to keep the customer in focus.
