The winery is situated just outside Pano Panayia village, in the mountainous area of Paphos district in an altitude of about 850 m above sea level, surrounded from Paphos forest. We produce our wines from the indigenous grape varieties Xynisteri, Spourtiko , Promara (whites) and Ntopio Mavro, Maratheftiko and Yiannoudi(reds) which are cultivated in the best viticultural area of Cyprus, the Vouni Panayia area. Visitors coming to the winery can experience the traditional Cypriot hospitality; taste our wines, take a tour of the winery, watch the procedure of producing the wine and traditional products which are produced from the grape like soutzioukkos and zivania. The restaurant is open after reservation for lunch (seasonal traditional cuisine)

This was the second visit by my wife to Cyprus we stayed at the Princess Beach Hotel, Larnaca on the occasion of the twelfth anniversary of our engagement. The best trip out we had was to The Vouni Panaya Winery in the Pathos Forest which was outstanding for its wine and hospitality. The sunny 90min drive from Lanaca through the mountains is a joy, with better roads than I have at home in the countryside of Gloucestershire, England. Paphos is in the west of Cyprus where the mountains meet the sea, it has several sites relating to the Goddess Aphrodite, whose mythical birthplace was at Old Paphos. Pathos as an area is definitely worth a visit, and you must go to this fabulous winery which is in a stunning location and offers a great wine tasting and tour.

My wife and I called here as to get a better insight into one of the local wine makers industry and were pleasantly surprised. There is a fairly decent small museum within the facility and for a very modest cost (€3pp) we opted for the tasting of 3 wines which allowed us to try before buying. The actual price per bottle seemed to be exceptionally good value as well. It should also be noted that the winery is in such a beautiful location they have expanded to take in other events such as a venue for weddings and I can see why, the outlook is stunning and it shows how to diversify a business. Well done..

Lovely friendly welcome from mine host who explains the wine process and types of wines the Winery produce. Wine tasting follows and there is a good selection to sample plus a few nibbles which help along the way. All Wines are readily available to purchase at very good competitive prices and an overall good visit was enjoyed.
