Ida Falls

Reviewed By Marjanna - Hartley, Australia

A previous reviewer said it was relatively easy ... I’d say it does require a moderate fitness level as you need to cross the creek on fallen logs and clamber up some steep inclines. Nonetheless the effort is worth it. It’s a beautiful little water fall in a perfect setting in a fern filled sandstone gorge. We were enchanted! Just make sure you wear footwear that can get wet and has something grip.

Fitzroy Falls

Reviewed By rdf24 - Mangalore, India

Fitzroy falls, an 81-metre waterfall was truly spectacular with its magnificent gorges. It offers the region’s local Aboriginal culture, wildlife and birdwatching, in the Southern Highlands. This massive park is a sanctuary for all kinds of wildlife. The Rainforest and moist eucalyptus forest support wombats, swamp wallabies, gliders, bush rats and long-nosed potoroos. Birdwatchers can see satin bowerbirds, green catbirds and lyrebirds while eagles and falcons hover overhead. The visitors centre has a lot of stuff to buy. Its pretty windy and cold, so its advisable to wear warm clothing. The nature walk trails ae well maintained and are not very tiresome.

Wentworth Falls Lookout

Reviewed By Subodhsj - Sydney, Australia

This place is full of beauty and amazing views, there are different walks to explore these points, you can try 30mins to 4hours walk. Park your car near Picnic area or get there by bus and walk through Jasmine lookout and walking track towards Wentworth fall, you may see small cascades depending on weather. Best time to visit is light rain, do not try this place in heavy rains. If you are trying more than 30mins walk have some food and water with you for quick energy. Keep watching sign boards to follow direction.

Beautiful natural waterfall with a great swimming swimming hole, which is very accessible providing you are good on your feet. Many steps and some uneven ground to climb down and back up. Coffee cart, picnic tables and playground all near the car park.

They drive was a long dirt road but once you get there it’s breath taking! Be cautious of slippery rocks once you go down to the waterfall. Eels can be spotted in the lower falls if you are lucky

Ellenborough Falls

Reviewed By 993anitat - Forster, Australia

After finally being able to get back out into the great outdoors we ventured to Ellenborough Falls with some friends. I think everyone else had the same idea as the car park was packed. The small kiosk must have been so happy to be operating again and being flat out. We walked to the headwaters of the falls but there is very little to see. The bracken ferns covering the forest floor is quite pretty. The viewing platform next to the car park is a great place to view the entire drop from the side. It is a single drop of 160 m, quite impressive. You can walk down the very steep grade to the base of the falls or walk 700m around through the bush to the knoll. This is a much easier walk through magnificent rainforest which ends at a viewing platform directly opposite Ellenborough falls. Make sure you take the small side track and look at the massive Brush box trees. Well worth the visit. What's more your pooch on a lead is also welcome.

Minyon Falls

Reviewed By LiamWright

Drive there is windy and due to recent rain, water over the road at points. We were able to cross in 2-door no issues. The hike down to the base of the falls takes about an hour, it is a 70m descent but it's an easy walk. You have to climb up and over some big boulders as you get closer to the waterfall. Again, due to the recent rain in the area the falls, were full and overflowing heavily. Stunning! I would highly recommend visiting after a day or two after heavy rainfall.
