Only 7 people and the tour was by Van. The driver guided us during the drive but no guide joined us at our stop in Castellina. Professional presentations at the wineries. Especially at Poggio Amorreli with Andrea where we were treated with Spumante, one white and two red Chianti and one supertuscan. We also got bread, cheese, salami with their own balsamic vinegar and olive oil. The driver called for a taxi upon arrival in Florence ????

Cortona has become very popular several years ago thanks to the book by Frances Mayes, Under the Tuscan Sun (and the movie with Diane Lane) which is set in Cortona; the protagonist immediately falls in love with the town, its people, and villa Bramasole that she purchases and fixes up.

We had a fascinating morning with Alessandra, exploring Assisi and learning about its history. It's such a beautiful place, and Alessandra made it come alive for us. The 'Umbria con me' attention to detail was superb, and booking lunch for us at a local restaurant afterwards was a lovely touch.

We wished we could see Pope Francis but we could never expected we could see him so closely thanks to Rossana great effort. Rossana and our driver Luigi are both great persons and the visit to the Pope very well organized. They both were professional, supportive, engaging and very helpful. Rossana took really a great effort to make the visit tailored to our needs and she had great sense of humour. Big thanks to R and L. We would highly recommend this tour.

This tour is the best walking tour that you can ever have in Florence. It is a great introduction to the city for both first-timers as well as returners. It covers the main attractions of the city and also the hidden gems that are well and truly "off the beaten track" and gives you facts you wouldn't know or notice walking around by yourself. While you'll be led through the city you will be even accompanied through three centuries full of thrilling stories about the Medici family who influenced Florence’s history; little by little the Renaissance will become alive in front of you. You will not be involved in a boring, neutral lecture, but in a pleasant stroll through the center of Florence, in a friendly and easy-going atmosphere. This tour, except the small commission for TripAdvisor, is based on donations. This means that if you like the tour you can leave a tip (some people give 10€, some people give 50€, you choose the price) to reward the guide.

Inclusions: Licensed Guide

Exclusions: You can choose how much you want to pay to reward the guide (some people leave 10€, some people 50)

We just arrived in Florence and joined a free walking tour with Manuel. It was just amazing as he is an amazing storyteller and knows the city as a born and raised. He inspired us to learn more about Medici, visit palaces, and enjoy the various food spots. At the end of the tour, he provided great advice on where to go and what to do around Florence. We've been so delighted by the tour to spontaneously decide to book a private Uffici tour with him which was just as much fun and insightful as the walking tour. We will ping Manuel again next time we are in the city.

" What a wonderful introduction to Florence! Gianni went beyond our expectations as a foodie guide. Firstly he met us outside our accommodation and walked us to the start of the tour giving us insight to the streets of Florence along the way. He was so knowledgeable about the local history and shared this with us. He was happy to stop and let us take photos over the whole tour. The food places we visited were amazing! Gianni has a personal history with most of the store owners and introduced us as if we were his family. We were made to feel so welcome and spoilt at every destination. From local markets to an exquisite wine cellar and gelatos to finish, this tour had it all! I highly recommend this tour to everyone who loves food and as a great introduction for first time visitors to Florence. Love this city and we loved Gianni! Thank you! Davide was an excellent tour guide for my group of friends on an early Saturday morning. It was obvious that he loved his job and it showed through the history he walked us through during the entire tour. I would highly recommend any tour with Davide and if the Vatican is on your bucket list, then early morning access is the tour you want. Happy travels!
