Not only did I finish this experience with Akira very full (and a bit drunk) but I finish with a group of new friends! Akira organizes a great set of food stops that are all absolutely delicious. The best part is the social atmosphere that this creates. It obviously varies every day and will be different based on when you go and who else is on the tour, but our group was amazing. Thank you Akira, for sharing your city with us.

The tour was just like a live stream. You will get on a rickshaw and your friendly driver will show you around in Kyoto. After the ride, your guide will walk with you and take you to the beautiful bamboo forest and Tenruji Temple. You will also meet monkeys at the park in Iwatayama! The only thing I was disappointed about was I couldn't taste the Shojin Ryori or Buddhist vegetarian meal that our guide Mickey-san showed and explained. I should be on the real tour!

Last year we made four day tours with Satoko to discover Tokyo and it was a fantastic experience. She has a great knowledge and unrivalled love for traditional Japanese culture but she is also familiar with modern Japan, being able to offer the best of both worlds. She was a friendly and enjoyable company from the human point of view, very generous with her time and always trying to give more than a simple touristic package. She is an invaluable asset to feel part of Japan which we decisively recommend to anybody wishing to visit Japan. We stayed in touch since then, and when we go back to Japan, it will not be without Satoko since she is an extra gift on top of the beauties of her country. Don't hesitate, go for Satoko and enjoy!
