Started out with a honey producer, then on to haloumi, next soutzoukos, monastery winery, lunch at a local taverna, and last but not least a local winery! Great way to spend the day. We had 4 guides for the 2 of us, every question was answered, lots of great information about local products and places to visit. Louisa and her staff are friendly and professional. Highly recommended for locals and tourists alike, we've lived here for almost 3 years and never would have found these places. Look forward to another trip in a different region!

We visited the zoo the other day, it has most animals you could think off, they seemed well kept for the most part, a zookeeper mark allowed us to get a once in a lifetime photo with a giraffe, and you could tell he cared deeply about the animals, thought it was a great day out. We did think the monkey enclosures could be bigger and were a little on the small side, again with the birds and the ostriches. But other than that, the majority of the animals seemed to have big time enclosures and plenty of space to roam. And they are all rescue animals from what I understood, so have deffo got a better quality of life. I wouldn’t eat there though we went to the cafe which had run out of hand sanitiser when we entered, so we informed the staff, but then when we left it still hadn’t been refilled which during corona times is quite irresponsible. But if you like going to the zoo, take your own lunch and hand sanitiser and you will have a good day out ????

Rural Cyprus is at your fingertips on this whistle stop tour. The morning kicks off with first stop at Petra tou Romiou for photographs (available only for guests from Paphos town). Aphrodite’s mythical birthplace ‘Petra tou Romiou’ is an interesting geological formation of huge rocks along one of the most beautiful coastlines on the island. Then you will continue with a visit of Kourion–one of the most impressive archaeological sites on the island. It’s classic Greco-Roman, with a half-moon of seats facing out to sea. Kolossi Castle is the next stop. This Crusader-era castle is surrounded by flowering plants and a pretty courtyard. Hop back on the air-conditioned bus and head to Fini village where lunch will be served at a local tavern. Next stop, the mountain-ringed village of Omodos where you will have a guided walk through the village. Lastly, you will have the opportunity to taste traditional Cyprus wine in a local winery before heading back to the resorts.

Inclusions: Lunch with one glass of local wine/water, Wine tasting at local winery, English Speaking Professional guide, Hotel pickup and drop-off (selected hotels only), Air-conditioned vehicle

Exclusions: Any additional food and drinks, Souvenirs, Gratuities

The jeep ride was a bit too fast for my liking, especially on the winding mountain dirt roads. We enjoyed the natural reserves and the beautiful natural views though. It would have been nice to get more info on the places we were visiting, but maybe there wasn't much to them apart from the pretty views. The boat cruise was ok, lots of passangers, an hour to the Blue Lagoon, and hour there and an hour back. The Blue Lagoon itself was a bay full of other ships like ours, I thought it was going to be a little more quaint. Overall it was alright, always an experience and new sights seen.

We booked this trip through TUI as it was promoted by them. As we were staying in Paphos we wanted to see more of the island. The destinations in the Troodos were varied and the lunch was excellent. However, whoever is promoting the trip should make everyone aware that the majority of the time is spent on the minibus (very good driver) and whilst many of the views of the mountains are wonderful, the route is very twisty and mountainous. Whoever is promoting the trip should also make people aware that those who suffer from travel sickness may want to consider whether it is for them.

Phivos Ioannides, who would be guiding the trip and the walk, is a world traveller with extensive studies, wide business and other experiences. He is a Greek Cypriot and specialises on guided walking trips. Our usual transportation (Citroen C8 MPV) can take upto six adult passengers and a driver. We keep groups small, in order to offer a more personalised service. Akamas is a jewel of Cyprus nature. The walk is largely along the ridge of the Akamas peninsula. We contacted Phivos few weeks before we wanted to go on a 4- day hike in Cyprus. Phivos was very professional and kind with lots of patience to all the questions we had. He suggested a hike best fitting our nature, and the season. Prior to the hike, Phivos sent us a PDF book with all maps and information we needed, as well as each day trail navigation to use in GPS app (we used MPSME application that works offline with kml files and recommend this as well). The ground services included a zimmer/hotel with breakfast and dinner for each of the hike days, a transfer of our luggage from one place to the other, and a pick from Larnaca on the first day and on last day to the airport. Phivos picked us from Larnaca on the first day and took us to the starting point of the hike. During the 2hr drive Phivos told us many things about Cyprus society, history, geography, and nature, and answered last minute questions we had regarding the hike, as well as many questions we had regarding Cyprus. He also helped us deciding where to start the hike of the first day (changes were needed due to the weather and updated time of arrival). It was a reall pleasure to meet him personally and enjoy his vast knowledge and kindness!!! The 4-days hike in Cyprus countryside was perfect!!! It was the best combination of culture, agriculture and nature landscapes in the perfect season. We walked ~20 km a day in lovely landscapes and lovely views, every day starting from a different village after a nice breakfast, and finishing in the next village with zimmer/hotel and a nice dinner. The food was good (one of us is vegan) and the places we stayed in were pleasent and clean. We highly recommend Cyprus Walks Etc. and especially Phivos for anyone interested in self guided treaks in Cyprus!!! We had a wonderful time -Thank you Phivos!!!! Total and Efrat, Israel
