Wonderful massage with the peaceful sound of the waves under a private cabana on the beach (protected by armed security)! My masseuse was very attentive, and while she did not speak great English, she listened to my body and understood exactly what I was looking for perfectly! Ask for the “Promocìoon” and enjoy! They even escorted me safely to the neighboring store’s ATM to pay in Dominican Pesos to avoid the Credit Card fees. ATM tip: 550 pesos was the fee for taking out a max of 10,000 at a time. Nearby food tip: This spa shares the gardens with an excellent family-owned restaurant called, “Balicana” (Check out my other review) The team did an excellent job in making sure my girlfriend (who did not receive a massage as her body is too sensitive) and I were very comfortable and well taken care of!

During this tour in the Dominican Republic, you’ll have the chance to visit Cueva de Berna, located in the east side of the country, between Boca de Yuma town and the East National Park (Parque Nacional del Este). This cavern is a natural wonder of great historical-archaeological interest, decorated with beautiful stalagmites and stalactites, and boasting on its walls and floors an extensive system of around 300 red-colored petroglyphs of the pre-Columbian era. Later, you’ll make your way to the magical village of Altos de Chavon, in La Romana. This ancient Mediterranean-style jewel, surrounded by cobbled streets and buildings of coral stone and terracotta blocks, is also known as the "City of Artists" as on more than one occasion, served as a source of inspiration for several film directors. Other of the most eye-catching feature in Altos de Chavon is its open-air amphitheater, inaugurated by Frank Sinatra in 1982.

Had an excellent time. Breath taking views. Swimming with the star fish at the sand bar in blur clear crystal waters was enjoyable. Wish could have been there a little longer to snorkel. Saona Island is georgios. Loved the lay out and the beach was clean and well maintained Only part that I didn't care for was on arrival prior to getting on the boat, locals were there selling merchandise. 2 young men one with an iguana and another with a monkey corner my daughter and I, Took her phone and started taking pictures. Than they demanded $20 for the pictures that they took on her cell phone without our approval. So a total of $40. I said no , I started to walk away and they continued to follow us to the boat. At one point they had their hand on my backpack. I told them again, NO and got on the boat.

The excursion begins in Dominicus, through the main road till you enter to a beautiful trail by the sea that takes us to the small town of Bayahibe. There we will see the beauty of the local nature and cosmopolitan style. Then we make a visit to the public beach enjoying a beautiful landscape until arriving at Cotubanama Park. There we will walk a beautiful path that takes us to a cave that was used by the Taíno Indians in pre-Columbian times. In the interior of the cave there is a spring of crystalline waters in which we can freshen up. Then we make a short walk along a path where we can appreciate several plants of our flora and a typical kiln to make coal. We return to the bicycle and end up leaving the park where our tour ends.  Note: you can select the tour in electric mtb or normal mtb.
