Amazing hotel with fantastic staff in a beautiful spot

Jin, Mariela, and the rest of the team at Abbey del Sol were incredibly warm, welcoming, and helpful. They gave us lots of tips for things to do, how to do them, etc. The hotel itself was so beautiful: both the room and the pool area which is nice and sunny in the mornings and shaded in the afternoons. And Puerto Morelos is adorable! We loved exploring the restaurants, beach clubs, and shops that this quaint little town had to offer. And we're so glad we did it from Abbey del Sol! You really can't beat the value for the price.

We are almost sure that after being here only one day you will be thinking about changing your return ticket or even canceling it and staying for good (nothing can be farther from the truth, it happened to us and many other people). but don't worry we have 18 different Cabañas to choose from to make it your new home.

Horrible place

Reviewed By NicolasD823

We checked into a room that was smelly, with no AC, dirty towels, and roaches in the shower. We went to the restaurant for dinner and felt we were bothering the server who was extremely rude. We could not sleep the first night due to the excruciating heat and heavy noise coming from the next-door venues. The next day, we asked the front desk person to change our room but were told that nothing was available (although we saw other people checking out). Finally decided to check out because of all of the above, yet, the attendant refused to give us our money back. Do not go to this place, it is a scam. The only line pictures are nothing like what it really is and the service is horrible.

Grand Hotel Gota de Sal

Great hotel, great beach club, will stay again

Reviewed By Mia I

We arrived into Cancun early in the morning, so before making the drive to our first destination, stopped in Puerto Morelos. We walked down to the beach and ended up at the beach club connected to the hotel. Its $300 pesos ($150 if you're staying at the hotel) for a palapa rental for an entire day - this includes 2 loungers, 2 tables, and 4 chairs. All in all, we spent 3 different days at the beach club. Antonio provided amazing service to us, and even remembered us days later! We actually needed someplace to stay from an extra night, so we booked for later in the week. And it did not disappoint. We were booked into a room on the far back left of the hotel, with a second door that opened out to the beach side. The room had 2 full beds, full bathroom, plenty of surfaces for luggage, bags, etc. It also had a mini-fridge and a safe. The hotel is very central, and we walked everywhere we wanted to go within Puerto Morelos proper. We were able to leave our car parked in the parking lot with no security concerns. There is a live music bar across the street (Lauro's) which can be heard from the hotel, but they do shut down around 11ish. So be aware if you are looking for quiet in the evening. Other than that, it was quiet, and leaving the window open, you can hear the ocean. When we come back to Cancun/Puerto Morelos, we will be booking at Gota de Sal!

Jungle Lodge Boutique Hotel

Very peaceful hotel

Reviewed By sunworshipper2010

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful stay at the Jungle Lodge. The staff were super friendly and extremely helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them. Very responsive on WhatsApp and plenty of communication prior to check in made for a smooth service The room was beautiful and exceeded expectations, very large villa with our own private plunge pool which we made the most of. The aircon worked well, and the black out blinds made for a good night sleep. Very peaceful hotel. The hotel has bikes for hire which we used a lot to explore the nearby beaches and cenotes. We also booked various excursions via the hotel including the ATV quad biking which is a very short drive away. The food and cocktails were very tasty- highly recommend the Thai green curry and ceviche. We were also very lucky and saw some amazing wildlife including pumas, bird of paradise and a snake! Only downside is due to the location there are 100’s of mosquitoes and I got eaten alive. I note this isn’t the hotels fault but more of a note to remember insect repellent if you’re planning a stay!

The Municipality Palace is located just at the corner and you can't miss all celebrations and important events! The staff is very polite and friendly!
