가족이 묶을수있는 실속있는 숙소
Reviewed By jaewanpark위치는 휘닉스파크와 가깝고, 복층 독채형으로 되어있다. 연휴 성수기에 세가족(성인 6명, 아이 3명)이 지낼 숙소를 찾다가 상대적으로 저렴한 가격에 묶게되었는데, 가격대비 좋은 곳이라 생각된다. 1개의 침대방과 2층엔 찜질방 느낌의 온돌방으로 되어있고, 마당에선 바베큐를 해먹을수 있다. 시설이 좀 오래되었지만 2가족정도 묶기엔 가격대비 실속있는 숙소인거 같다

Nice room with high ceiling and spacious layout
Reviewed By Richard LMy family of 4 (including 2 teenager) stayed at this hotel for our December skiing trip in Pyeongchang-gun. The hotel rooms were excellent and with a built-in kitchenette. Hotel staff were really hospitable despite their lack of spoken English. Downside is no food available but you can always buy a nearby convenience store and heat it up wit micro oven. Laundry facility is available and especially needed for washing soiled clothing’s from the ski trips. However transport to hotel is not so convenient. We took a shuttle to the Pheonix park resort from the train station but waking with heavy luggage for the 1km is quite a challenge. For the return trip we decided to take a taxi instead of walking. Back to Pheonix park resort but since we had 4 luggage, we needed to boom two taxis as they do not have enough luggage space for 4 in the boot. Other than this, Wen had a splendid stay at the Storey Residence.

Fair, when the ski resort is full and you drive
Reviewed By MLB1001We were pretty late in the game when we decided we wanted skiing in South Korea for the Chinese New Year. We have done Alpensia and Vivaldi Park before, so Phoenix Park was next on our list. When we exhausted all available websites, everything around the ski resort area was full, Phoenix Emerald Pension popped up, just a few kilometres from the main ski resort area. Tripadvisor didn't have any reviews then while other websites only had limited information. I thought why not, would be great to explore something new. It also provided me a legitimate excuse to drive in South Korea for the first time. After a decent 3 hours drive upon our arrival at Incheon Airport, we located the small dirt road off the main road of Pyeongchang connecting to Phoenix Emerald Pension. When we arrived, the receptionist spoke limited English but we still managed to check-in pretty quickly. We stayed on the 3rd floor and carrying winter luggages up the stairs "exceeded daily exercise routine" for dads. The rooms were decent with acceptable mattresses. Small towels were provided but I would suggest you bring your own towels. Toilets and shower area not most ideal, but similar to what you expect from a Korean ski resort. You won't enjoy your personal time when the toilet is cold and wet. I must say though the water strength of the shower is better than some of the five star hotels in Seoul. Unless you are cooking yourself (basic kitchen appliances are provided), we drove out to nearby restaurants or even back at the ski resort for dining options. Wifi and TV provides ample entertainment during night time. Make sure you get a SUV if you are driving during winter, the snow can build up a fair bit at times. Mostly local Korean families staying there for the weekend. I believe we were the only foreigners in the complex. Overall, fair if options within the resort area are full. The extra plus is the backyard or play area behind the pension. The kids (and the adults) had loads of fun sliding down the hill with slates and also building snowman.

VERY STRANGE COMBINATION OF PLUSSES AND MINUSES! OVERALL NOT WORKABLE!
Reviewed By Kingpin26First, this property is not workable without a car. Positives? Handsome modern architecture with excellent, large room, good amenities. Beautiful setting with excellent views. Large deck/patio with grilling facilities. Negatives? No breakfast or food service at all. At the end of a long forest track 2.5km from an major road. Dangerous road situation with 3 - 19 meter dropoffs . . . tough at night to navigate.. No sheets or bedding, you must have to bring your own. When we arrived after dark, there was a caretaker there who spoke no English. Checked in and found: a) no hot water at all; b)no sheets or bed covers, just a mattress pad, c) a broken teapot, a d) no sign at all of recent housekeeping. Complained, and got switched to a better, larger room WITH hot water, replaced teapot and a second mattress pad that was apparently what was to be used as a bedsheet. The room was nice but in need of maintenance, torn curtains, etc. We got to laughing because it was so silly. We were the only guest in 14 rooms. It was like the beginning of a horror movie. Went to dinner, cme back 1 1/2 hours later and every light in the building was off and the caretaker (I cannot describe this guy as a desk clerk or concierge) was nowhere to be seen. We entered the building and had stumble around to find lobby and hall lights. Now, for the worst part? The room was $170 (USD), about identical to the Grand Hyatt at the Incheon airport (a legitimate 5-star hotel). Unbelievable. This was EASILY the worst hotel value in my 50 years of traveling world wide. I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!

Reviewed By Craig LWe stayed here for five days over Christmas and cannot rate the level of service high enough. The hosts are brilliant and arranged ski equipment, passes and took us to the slopes each day as well as picking us up. Nothing was too much trouble - we simply cannot recommenced the accommodation or the generosity of the owners enough.
