UP drove us from Mirissa to Tangalle, organized a safari in Udawalawe park, and drove us from Tangalle to Colombo. His car was spacious, clean and comfortable, and he was a great driver. He went above and beyond when we last minute changed some travel plans and drove us late at night to the airport. The Udawalawe visit was so special, and UP's park guide was very attentive and knowledgeable. We recommend UP highly if you are looking for a driver and organizer in the Tangalle area. We were very lucky to have hired him!

We have been to Sri Lanka as a family 4 times now, each time we use Sam Tours for our transport. Each time we have contacted by email and been answered quickly and efficiently. Each time we've been given a modern, safe car and an excellent driver. This time around our driver Pradeep was a super star, a nice guy and a very careful driver. He took us where we wanted, arranged things that we asked for but didn't pressure us. I will definetly use Sam Tours again if I'm lucky enough to go back.

Even though the taxi company has only smaller electric vehicles (like the Nissan Leaf), we were a family of 4 (with tall teenage kids)... and we needed a VAN. Leel arranged a van even though I have him only a few hours to arrange it. And he did! Leel was ever so kind to send his trustworthy assistant with us in the van. Why? Because he had never worked with the van owner / driver before and wanted to be careful. Allegedly, there are a lot of luggage theft that happens... unscrupulous drivers rifling through luggage, stealing money, valuables, etc. I've personally heard loud arguments between foreigners and drivers on such issues in Sri Lanka. You may pay a little more with Leel and LRS Taxi... but you will be taken care of.

In November 2018 we first visit Sri Lanka and had a wonderful 15-day tour with Romello Tours. We were determined to go back as soon as we could. By the time we were able to work out our revisit plans for March 2020 we first ensured that Anjello or his brother Dushan would be available for our trip again as our driver (and guide at the same time). Like before they where very responsive to our e-mails and WhatsApp’s. All our questions were clearly answered. There availability was so important for us that only after their confirmation we started to arrange our flights, visa and so on. We again had a fabulous time. It was like meeting a friend again. Luckily for us that friend also happens to be a very skilled and safe driver, polite and flexible. Without any time pressures. And also without any pressure on us to do/visit/buy certain things. We left it up to him to arrange some things for us like a wild safari, accommodation near one of the popular parks and train tickets with reserved seats for the crowded but well worthy train trip from Kandy to Ella. He organised everything perfectly. Contact them, you won’t be disappointed! I hereby add my review from November 2018: Family run. Wonderful time. Highly recommended. Beoordeling van Romello Tours 26 november 2018 beoordeeld We have just returned home after a 15 day visit of Sri Lanka and had the best time. We are experienced travellers and enjoy doing research about where to go, what to do and where to stay, eat, drink, etc. At first we thought of renting just a car (like we did in Taiwan), but we are glad that we choose for a driver with his car. And our best decision was to choose for the company run by the two brothers Dushan Romello and Anjello. Anjello was our driver and we are so thankful to have him. Already in the first couple of days he felt like a good friend or family member, so saying ‘goodbye’ was very hard for us. But we are determined to go back, and we hope to have the privilege to travel with Anjello again. Before our trip to Sri Lanka we had contact with several tour agencies but the contact with Dushan Romello felt good, professional and personal right from the start, with quick reply’s on emails and whatsapps and a reasonable and very competitve price. We felt very safe with Anjello’s driving and were happy with his care about the comfort of the people inside and everything outside the car, including streetdogs and the many other animals which appeared continously suddenly on the track. The car itself was also perfectly maintained, clean every day, spacious and very comfortable. Anjello had great general knowledge of his country which he happily shared with us. He is friendly, polite, reliable and flexible. Although his young age his thoughts, behaviour and actions suits a wise man. We loved his personality. A youngman with a golden heart. We also enjoyed his sense of humour and his English was good so we could hold conversations easily and liked that very much. He was also curious to learn more about life in our country or things we knew. We had made a detailed itinerary and selected our accommodations. Anjello was creative with suggestions to add on our plans everytime we asked him. He point out must-do's that we were about to miss, even when his suggestion ment that he would be needed to drive at 5 in the morning or in the darkness of the evening. He organised safaris and sightseeing for us and we were never disappointed with what he came up with. He also always found us clean washrooms on our car journeys. We ate at great restaurants and enjoyed his company all the times we asked him to join us for lunch/dinner/drink/visits of temples etc. We highly recommend this company (and very beautiful country) to everyone. You will be in great hands when Dushan Romello or Anjello is your driver.
