On the south coast of Tierra del Fuego, Ushuaia is about as far south as a tourist can comfortably go to in the Americas. The city faces the Beagle Channel where penguins, sea lions and rare sea birds are abound. Ushuaia has a wide variety of restaurants which have local seafood dishes like centolla, an Antarctic variety of king crab. Among other attractions in the city, there is the beautiful Tierra del Fuego National Park and the train “End of World,” used in the past by the prisoners of Ushuaia´s jail to collect firewood. Ushuaia is a wonderful combination of breathtaking nature and an interesting history, full of sailors' anecdotes and stories. Please notice that if you have a special request (e.g., changing or not taking one of the listed tours), we are flexible to adapt the itinerary. Please, bear in mind, the package will be booked at least one week before traveling.

The opportunity to see the glaciers up close and to trek on them was definitely a bucket list activity! From the moment you strap on those crampons, you know you are in for a once in a lifetime experience. The guides were great and you even finished the trek with a glass of whisky on glacier ice. This was not a strenuous trek so I think anyone could take it on - we even saw a man who seemed to have cerebal palsy and he had two guides assist him and was able to complete the trek.

My husband and I toured the Tierra del Fuego National Park with Sergio two weeks ago and had a wonderful time. He was very knowledgeable and professional and we were happy to be in his company rather than on a bus with 50 other people. Don't have any second thoughts; go with Alma Calma.

We had no problem with the tour van, guide and driver. In the park, we took a walk. The scenery was not that impressive since we went there in March. I had my winter coat on. Besides the lake, there were no beautiful plants. The scenery may be different in December, January, or February. The most memorable stop is the southernmost post office in the world.
