Reviewed By Elise GWe were obviously given staff quarters as a curtained cupboard and drawer contained personal effects of a previous occupant. No visible manager and poor service. Poor breakfast. Hot water left in vacuum containers for tea and coffee, small amount of fruit offered although it was asked for by several guests staying. The evening meal served was the strangest we have ever eaten in all our travels in Italy, however the pasta course was good but not the cold breaded chicken on a bed of heavily oiled cold vegetables followed by a plate of unprepared fruits. The whole place needs refurbishment and an attentive manager. Good points were the linen and the room was clean. We would not recommend this place or return.

Reviewed By Antonio DWe spent a day in this beautiful lacation, it was so peaceful with a breathtaking view of the Adriatic Sea. Our room was very comfortable and clean, the furniture was superb. Our stay included breakfast and the owner served us a nice cappuccino and coffee. The place has a large swimming pool, olive and fruit garden. It was very relaxing, I’m planning to stay here again. The property has a gate and we felt very safe. The owner is a very nice lady.

Reviewed By Roslynne KLocated back off the main road (SS49),and in Madonna della Pace,this B&B is very comfortable and private. The owner also runs the local cafe and this is where you have breakfast as well.You can also eat dinner here,as they make delicious pizzas. It is a bit difficult to locate as there is no signage,but when you ask in the cafe,you realize this is where you also check in and get the key.The rooms on the second floor have wrap around balconies with a terrific panorama of the Adriatic on one side and views of the Apennines (Gran Sasso)and the nearby hilltop town of Citta Sant'Angelo,on the other side. Our room(number 2) was cosy,but adequate,with TV,aircon,ceiling fan,a comfortable bed,blockout blinds and ensuite.The bathroom had a bath,but no shower.There is a kitchen for communal use,good internet and parking out front.40 euro a night.

The owner threatened us for leaving a bad review
Reviewed By jrmusnyOld B&B in need of repair. The apartment suite had multiple walls with water damage, and the shower had mildew (see photos). The owner's mother scolded us for arriving 30 minutes late after a 7-hour drive and for needing a parking space even though we had reserved one. Wifi was too weak to use in our room, so we left the next morning. Disappointing because the location is great. Guests beware: the owner threatened us for leaving a bad review on another booking site!

Reviewed By pepeLinviaggioLa casa di Simonetta è un B&b meraviglioso, Curato in ogni dettaglio , lenzuola di lino antiche , ceramiche tipiche, camino , Simonetta padrona di casa accogliente e premurosa ,ha preparato una colazione con ogni tipo di cosa, frigorifero con bevande , torte yogurt biscotti , la casa spaziosissima , con due camere , cucina , bagno , lavanderia spazio esterno , è dotata di tutti i comfort , abbiamo trovato tutto il necessario per la toilette , una soluzione perfetta per famiglie con bambini o per gruppo di amici . L arredamento è bellissimo la posizione ottima per visitare Penne . Spero di tornare soltanto per poter soggiornare nuovamente in questo posto meraviglioso !

Spiders net on a chandelier
Reviewed By AGirlNextDoorOk stay, nothing special. Breakfast could be better. Great mattresses. Considerable clean. Not a word of spoken English so we were forced to "speak" Italian. Colud be much better considering the prices. Unconfortable table and chairs for breakfast, the old lady was a little rude cause she moved us there and there as she fanced.
